We are so desperate for pilots. Republic will pay me $100 for me to refer someone that interviews, $500 if they accept the job and report for training, and another $500 after they complete IOE.

Time for a new contract boys!

Good god, you are crazy if you think that! We are only negotiating a handful of sections in our current contract. It's going to be a trainwreck. The "word is" it will be a big disappointment for anyone but FOs so they can get new hires in the door.

Put down the crack pipe! I've been here over 6 years and the eventual TA will be sh*t. No doubt about it.
I don't do crack. I'm willing to look at the TA from an objective point of view. Yes it may not be good enough, but if it isn't I will vote NO. What good does it do you to be so negative ahead of anything that comes out? If the TA is a failure, then IBT National will look stupid and the IBT should be decertified. We will have to start over with a new clean slate. The reality is that as far as hourly rates go, RAH CAs are already industry average. Where we need huge changes is in work rules...especially with 117 here... These crappy pairings without cancelation pay or min day/trip duty rigs is terrible. If CAs around here think they will see a substantial pay raise they are the ones smoking crack. Look at the other regional CA rates and see where they are at. The way I see it, FO pay has to come up to match SkyWest if they hope to attract people to staff all this flying. Again, if the TA sucks I will vote NO. I hope every other pilot around here does the same. I hope everyone takes the time to educate themselves on every point and paragraph in the TA and they vote as if this will be their career airline.

The negativity of people around here is mind boggling.

Don't come here for the bases. Not a one of them is safe, especially under 117.

Next private mediation section is later this month. I'd be slightly surprised if we aren't voting after that. Assuming it passes, take a month for road shows and voting.

My guess though is that unless they are willing to open up benefits and basing, it's going to fail.

^^^^ Really??? This is the reality we face. I am not voting in something that doesn't represent the hard work that I put in. We have waited for a long time, and this needs to be worth it to vote yes. There are some people out there that can't believe what its like over here, and they come here regardless....then they complain once they see that we weren't just blowing smoke. Of course there will always be the Debby Downer's, but in this case that was a pretty good assessment of what's going on here.

I'm sure I forgot someone in there, but that's the 'gist of it. Be aware our CBA locks FOs in type until upgrade. That also means that a YX E170 FO cannot bit on any S5 E170 FO vacancy, and vice versa.
