1. The company is desperate for some reason
2. The new negotiators didn't just walk in and hand over our proposal then walk out
3. Since 2. we must be retreating from our proposals or asks over the last 7 years.

If you've read this far I don't think we'll see a new CBA before June anyway. Finally, with the division taking over the negotiations, nobody has any idea what they'll produce.
Those are valid points. Would you consider living in a base like LGA enough of a benefit to offset the bad QOL at Republic? I really don't want to move or commute, and EWR is an expensive hike with tolls/bridges/tunnels...

I heard two things: the RAH Eagle flying will soon go back to American, but also heard RAH could see more American flying out of NY. Either of these true?

Republic is a Klassy operation. Here is a message from a CP:

Jeff Rouse
TO ALL AIRLINE PILOTS AT REPUBLIC AND SHUTTLE: I am now resorting to communicating via facebook. Please pass along to any crewmembers you see. The SOC is swamped. Many schedulers and dispatchers are going on no sleep as we cannot get replacements into the hdq due to the "state of emergency" in Indy. If you are trying to get thru to CS and cannot, send an email to Jeremy Specht (ORD, CMH, MCI, DCA) or Dana Donati (PIT, PHL, EWR) with name, employee number, and your status and what you need. You may also use my company email. Getting thru to my phone line is difficult as well. We will get thru this.

What's the point of you posting that on this forum. I don't have much good to say about Republic. But Jeff IS a good man. I hope you are doing this to spread the word and not poke fun.

Jeff changed his personality when he first became the chief pilot at shuttle. This happens to many people when they are put in a position of power. Unprofessional communication is nothing new at RAH. The old CP at shuttle would regularly send pilots text messages over company business related things. I did not appreciate this harassment because my personal phone line was not for company business.

I can't make a call on either of those. I've seen evidence that APA is trying to pull back 175 flying under legacy. I hope they do.

I can definitely see us losing some Q flying and "losing" some AMR flying (growth) that we haven't/won't been able to staff.

That could just be wishful thinking on my part but it appears we are really starting to feel the pain of an old CBA, poor recruiting, and petulant treatment of employees. By the time this company figures it out, we'll be on the downslide. If we get the chance to vote down a TA, we'll accelerate that slide.

You are asking line pilots to look into the future and tell you what will happen in two years. I hope you see how stupid that is.

Any line pilot in any regional has no idea what will happen two weeks down the road yet alone two months.

You already said you have an interview. Go to it and see if you get the job first. Then it's a decision making time. Shuttle has a lga base and so does chq. If you are that adamant about living in base then you need to consider both certificates.

I am curious to find out what company you work for as you say yours will not be around next year.

To me it doesn't even look like you are willing to wait few months and look for a base trade even if you don't get the base you want at the first try.

You need to learn to be flexible if you want to make it in this business
