Sadly Loons mentality is shared by most the CAs at RAH, especially the ones who live in the outstation bases. Just another perk of working here for all you potential new hires.

The announcement also indicates the Chautauqua operating certificate will be merged with the Shuttle America certificate by end of 2014. In my opinion this opens the door to merge S5 and YX in 2016 when we only have 170s flying around.

That is correct, but none of this is the result of them eliminating an(unnecessary) operating certificate.

The company is getting more 170's than they are parking (more to be announced later after the additional option orders are exercised). Parking 70 145's, adding 47 + 50 e-jets. The Chautauqua 145's are being displaced since they cannot be on the same certificate as the CSeries coming next year.

There's only about 15 more E175s coming, and 41 E145s to be parked. This is according to the fleet plan on the Rjet external site.
Doesn't Republic actually have to be awarded more flying from AA before those options can be exercised?

Shhh. Don't try to reason with Loon and Karma they love drinking that BB love juice. RAH has options for 50 more aircraft but they can't even staff what they have now, I doubt they exercise those options, despite what BB says. This company is terrible. I'm glad we are parking airplanes because that means less pilots have to suffer here.
