I come on here to educate others of the terrible place that Republic Airways Holdings is. It is not whining. If you don't believe RAH is the worst, you are delusional. The morale here is at an all time low. Staffing is so bad they have CAs flying as FOs, and even then flights are cancelled every single day due to lack of crew.

I am taking a stand for the profession. So did 85% of my fellow pilots. Only 15% of the RAH pilot group is stupid enough to want to undercut everyone in order to help BB and this terrible company grow. Flying C Series at a regional would be a disaster for all our careers. How about you stop helping BB and fly the damn book?
The vagabond flies the book, I'm quite sure. He does this though without incessantly whining and feeling like he's been wronged.
Question for you magnum: does your mom charge you rent to live in her basement??

Upgrade times will be back to two years or less soon. Pilots will come. They will come as they used to, to get their time and get out. BB loves his lifers and the captains will bite on a ta when the money is enough. The key is upgrade time, which will normalize soon.

I wish. Unfortunately not everyone is lucky enough to have parents to rely on, my case both of them having passed away when I was 25. I have been on my own since 17. Mocking the poverty wages our FOs make to subsidize your salary as a CA is in very poor taste. You are a complete douchebag. Too bad for you the model of SJS to attract pilots no longer works. RAH will fold. They already are. Parking 68 jets by 2016. Next will be the 28 Q400s. We will never have a kick ass CBA. Read that company presentation, BB complains his revenue is only adjusted by mainline partners upwards to match CPI which has averaged 1.8% while his CAs get a 3.1% seniority bump every year. Stop with your delusions. The only thing RAH is industry leading at is at stealing money from employees.

I will never bite in a TA with captain wages alone. That is stupid.

If you base that off my APC info you are incorrect. I am a CA.

There is absolutely ZERO indication the options will be exercised. Additionally, the CSeries will not and can not be operated for any mainline partner, so you think they'll just be delivered to sit around on the ramp somewhere? lol okay. step away from the kool-aid.

It is stupid. Think about how much easier it would be to start over at a new airline if wages were flattened at the regional level, only longevity paying higher.

That is the same short-sighted attitude that got us into this mess. The fact of the matter is that the next contract should include very little in the way of raises in a Captain's hourly rate. Their raise should be made in soft pay rules and the FO's should be given a large hourly increase on top of the rules. RAH has the highest regional CA rates but yet CAs here take home less then their counterparts. Real cancellation pay and work rules are what are needed.

At my last airline, I made less per hour than I do now but took home more. I never blocked more than 75 hours of flight time there but my average credit was over 100 hours. Most of the guys here at RAH don't understand that real money and QOL increases are made with soft pay and work rules because they have never had it.
