No newhires from the last 4 classes got GSO. I know of 2 from the 6/03 class that have it listed as their number one standing bid.

How do you think ORD will pan out for new hires on the Republic certificate? Hold a line quickly?

I'm sure it will work out great for you. While at the same time, real Eagle pilots will be getting displaced.

Exactly!

SkyWest is hiring but you'll go to the Bro as a new hire. But since you're already flying a prop and want a jet, I suppose you'd be better off elsewhere.
Skywest troll. You sure are active in RAH threads lately.

And you took this to mean that DL will replace CRJ2s with 717s on the same routes? That is both illogical and unrealistic and I think you may want to consider that you've taken their press release a bit too literally.

No doubt the 717s will replace the CRJ2s in DL's overall fleet, but 70-76 seaters will most likely replace 50 seaters, 717s will replace 70-76 seaters and so on up the food chain.

I highly doubt that 717's will replace CRJ2s on routes like MSP-FSD and MSP-RST. That's just silly.

It seems that there are a lot of FOs bidding into ORD from other bases on the Republic cert. I haven't seen a vacancy bid yet that contained the magic words "No other eligible bidders, to be filled with new hires" for Republic ORD, however, that could and likely will change. The timetable for that happening, however, is uncertain and a new hire that does get Republic ORD will likely see some of the slowest movement in the system -particularly if the American schedules turn out to be reasonably commutable- as more senior FOs tire of their outstation schedules and bid ORD, keeping new hires relatively junior. I'd be willing to bet that upward mobility for a new hire on the Republic cert will be the slowest in ORD. Such has certainly been the case with the Shuttle ORD base.

Keep in mind that the growth on the Republic cert is not just good for FOs on the Republic Certificate. FOs from all certificates can upgrade into the Republic ORD flying (and ancillary backfill upgrades), so FO movement on all certificates and all bases will be fairly rapid. Reserve for someone hired in the near future could be a non-existant or very short-lived proposition.

Please keep in mind that I still don't recommend RJET unless one is highly desperate or faced with circumstances that preclude other choices. RJET should be a last resort. The reasons have been highlighted on this forum numerous times.

that's funny. PHL and MCI on the republic side still has 1-2 year FOs on reserve. most of the new hires should plan on being in pit-cmh for 6 months on reserve or more. and when RAH loses the q contract soon. they can plan on applying to skywest, eagle or express people there will be extra pilots. why you think they havent really worried about getting poeple here and keeping the 10 year old contract paying us 30 percent less then any one else. only place worse off is great lakes.

Your post just hurt my brain. Face it, the Q isn't going anywhere. Republic is just going to let a Chautauqua contract expire in January and displace pilots to the Q.
