Republic Questions

that's funny. PHL and MCI on the republic side still has 1-2 year FOs on reserve. most of the new hires should plan on being in pit-cmh for 6 months on reserve or more. and when RAH loses the q contract soon. they can plan on applying to skywest, eagle or express people there will be extra pilots. why you think they havent really worried about getting poeple here and keeping the 10 year old contract paying us 30 percent less then any one else. only place worse off is great lakes.

What was your motivation to go there instead of other airlines that are hiring? Actually not asking to troll/flame - actually to help spare others from making the same mistakes. I have a few friends with class dates coming up and I know there is no way to convince them otherwise, but maybe I can stop a few who are considering.
If the time comes around where there happens to be an interview and I'm given the impression that there won't be hiring on that certificate, or that base won't be available more than likely...OR I'm told to expect that certificate but given the run-around when I show up, I'm outta there. Not worth the trouble.

In July there were 3 Republic 170 Classes, 1 CHQ E145 class, and at least 1 Q400 class. The 170 classes are mostly starting in PIT, ORD, or ACY but with the new AA growth you can hold other bases quickly (within a month). There's another Republic 170 class starting on the 28th and another one Sept 16th.

Whatever you guys do-- DO NOT let HR at RAH push you into a Q class. Hold out and get what you want. Very few good things about RAH-Living in Base and equipment are the only "choices" you have-- make it count. Also, if yur coming here, have an exit plan. Never rely on the rumors of "it will get better" Good luck guys.
