I don't know how credible "word on the street" is when it came from a "friend of a friends cousin dropping off a package at HQ" overhearing something as critical as UA putting the hammer down on RAH. Would it shock me if true? No. Do I think its pure speculation from someone who thinks they know what they are talking about to ruffle feathers? Yes.
While I have no first hand experience with the Q program, those of my friends that have upgraded have literally scared me enough to remove my CA bid for it. To me, there is NO reason to rush into an upgrade on a machine that is not staffed on the FO side so CA's are flying right seat all the time. No reason to commute from the West Coast to PIT or EWR to get cancelled more than you fly. No reason to fly an airplane that is a ticking time bomb waiting to violate you if you are not 100% on your game.
My hat goes off to the guys and gals out there slaving away on that thing. I know you all will have some incredible stories to tell when that major interview comes your way.
