I held a line after 5 months in phl but a ton were hired right after me. You are dead right about the Q being a disaster. lol

I can only speak for myself...my motivation is commute-less employment. I'm coming up on 1400TT and the only reason The ONLY considering RAH is the possibility of an SDF CHQ E145 slot. I'm committed here with family ties, and I absolutely understand you have to be ready to be mobile, and things happen, bases close, nothing's guaranteed, managment sh*ts on people by pulling out the rug from underneath you at their whim. But the the regional game, from what I've gathered the last few years and recent months as I get closer, is a smelly one no matter where you are; however, one of the few things that helps cover the stench is driving, not flying, to work.

If the time comes around where there happens to be an interview and I'm given the impression that there won't be hiring on that certificate, or that base won't be available more than likely...OR I'm told to expect that certificate but given the run-around when I show up, I'm outta there. Not worth the trouble.

My latest understanding is that they are only hiring now for the Q400.

In July there were 3 Republic 170 Classes, 1 CHQ E145 class, and at least 1 Q400 class. The 170 classes are mostly starting in PIT, ORD, or ACY but with the new AA growth you can hold other bases quickly (within a month). There's another Republic 170 class starting on the 28th and another one Sept 16th.

Have they selected everyone for the Sept.16 class? I have an interview next week on the 27th, hope I can make that class I would prefer Republic ORD if possible.

Whatever you guys do-- DO NOT let HR at RAH push you into a Q class. Hold out and get what you want. Very few good things about RAH-Living in Base and equipment are the only "choices" you have-- make it count. Also, if yur coming here, have an exit plan. Never rely on the rumors of "it will get better" Good luck guys.

Any truth to the rumors that they are baiting then switching? Have heard several second and third hand stories of classes being told on day 2 or 3 that they are being switched to the Q.
