I just think these three things give you the best overall view of someone whose never flown 121 before. In my opinion they are real important at the regional level, there were quite a few characters in my Mesa class that probably would not have made it through had this been in place. I don't know Deltas screening process, but with the type of applicants the majors are getting today, the sim and written are probably less important as these guys will have passed multiple sim 121 or military sim/checkrides.
