I also understand that MCI has been on 'the chopping block' for some time. But if I can get MCI for even 1 month, just that would be worth it, as I would end up right where I am now, only with a little bit of signing bonus $$$ in my pocket!
MCI has been awarded right out of training, but it totally depends on the base need at the time. I was in LGA 2 months before being awarded MCI. And I must say, for as much negativity LGA gets, it wasn't bad at all. The commute to/from MCI was a breeze.

Welcome!

So they should have just given up and lost all of their employees' jobs?

Check it again or email them. Something is not right. It shouldn't take that long.

Welcome to airline business practices. Almost every bankruptcy in the last 15 years has had the same motivation. And because of the protections afforded by our government they can get away with it. They're just capitalizing on the system

My 4.5 years of experience commuting to an outstation was exactly the opposite of yours. In all of those years, I was able to commute to/from home on the beginning or end of a trip maybe five or six times. There is little more miserable than beginning your trip AND your days off with only a few hours of sleep as the result of commuting on your day off on both ends...all this despite my living in a major hub for both AA and SWA.

Hell, I rarely saw my base during daylight hours because of RAH's crappy outstation schedules.

I think that your experience is the exception.

Its quite pathetic that Republic is sending recruitment emails to other airline pilots COMPANY emails. Do they really think they will get pilots from other airlines to jump ship and join you and start all over again? PATHETIC.

Relax. All the regionals do this. Even your pathetic regional. Because let's face it, it's the regionals, they're all pathetic. I've received phone calls and emails and letters from just about every regional over the last year.

Don't know why you're so quick to bash Republic in such a manner.

I nominate you for TOTD sir.
