I'm not sure RAH needs help really. As previously mentioned, we have the help of the legacies. Some people are convinced we're going to be bought. But I don't really know how that helps us get done what's already planned (exit from BK) as an independent company.

What could AWAC do for RAH? We just got done getting rid of our 145s, it would seem weird to join up with someone who's fleet is equivalent to those.

I think the rumor has us dumping our CRJ's to fly the 170/175. We wouldn't take over haha, just merge. Help you out of bankruptcy and then leech off your flying with our crews and your airplanes that don't get utilized or are on order.

This is all just from a big rumor floating around the crew rooms and cockpits.

I think it just sounds plausible to many people (with little to no proof "it just makes sense" gets heard a lot) and makes us feel better about our possible demise next year. It's been said so many times people are believing in it, but I don't think anyone has asked the RPA group for their take on it.

How can you say that RAH doesn't need help? It basically doesn't even exist. RAH was a public company, and now all the stockholders are done, adios, caput, no more. And the new Republic is 60% owned by the majors which means the remaining 40% has to be owned by someone. That is fact straight from SEC filings. Bedford is an employee just like the pilots. He didn't own anything or if he did own stock then he now owns nothing. Fact remains the remaining 20 million shares of the new company has to be owned/purchased by someone. I am not suggesting it's AWAC, but please don't keep saying Republic is fine.

Your passengers deserve better than your cavalier attitude with respect to their safety. Any Captain who doesn't select strobes on when in position and hold is a lousy one. It's no surprise that the only time I ever get comments is at CLT from the tools at the dysfunctional AA family.

Good observation.I don't even understand how Bedford still has a job. He drove the thing in to the ground and they keep him after all this. To my knowledge there has not been a BK that did not result in pain for the pilots or employees in general. I know everyone there is trying to stay positive but don't be surprised if things go sideways. It would not be Bedford's first time.

15 years ago there not one captain who DID turn on their strobes. A recent procedure for those who don't have common sense.

And yet here we are, with an untouched contract, unparked airplanes, new deliveries, many people getting hired, and upgrades to come. It's not perfect, but we've been hearing the same old stuff from people on this forum for months. None of it has come true.

Your airline is in bankruptcy. I didn't say you were going out of biz I simply stated facts from SEC filings
Your airline will be private
But that means someone has to OWN it
At this time the majors only own 60% there will be a remaining 40% that needs to be purchased
The other poster was only asking if you, the all knowing Bedford youth, had heard who was going to stroke a check for that portion of your company.

I mean it's already slated for BB to have a a seat on the new advisory board, guaranteed for only one year.

Again, when did people stop becoming pilots and only rats that couldn't go outside company procedures... you position and hold at night while they take a couple minutes to cross traffic or do whatever they need to. You've just ruined the night vision of however many pilots around you cause you sat their like an idiot with your strobes blasting because instead of being smart and respectful, your manual told you to. Now the pilots of however many passengers in the planes behind you have to reset their night vision. So who becomes the lousy pilot? No fed is going to busy anyone from being courteous to other pilots. A quick .5 second reach up during the low speed portion of your roll isn't affecting safety. Being like you and others and not being able to go outside of what your manual says and being a pilot when you need to be one, that is affecting safety.

Are you really basing the skill of a pilot by whether or not they put the strobes on when they position and hold? I don't know if you heard about those few planes that got torn up sitting on an active runway at night by planes shooting approaches into the wrong runway.. Could've saved some lives if they had made themselves the most visible. I have never seen any of our planes taxi with strobes on. Go to a g/a field at night and you'll see cirrus taxiing with the strobes on all the time because they have no red beacon, you gonna go find a forum to complain about them too?
