Having gone through training twice at this company (once recently), the training department does a pretty bad job of scheduling far in advance. Not making excuses for them because I think they can do a better job especially with known duration events such as indoc and systems class, but they have a constantly changing puzzle they have to piece together especially with sim time. Some guys need more time and there is only a finite blocks of sim time open. You will definitely get the holidays off and you might even get lucky to have off after indoc through the holidays.

I'm pretty sure I'm choosing Republic. Can someone tell me how the trips are being Kansas City based? What do I have to look forward to?

Outstation base so expect trips to begin very early and end very late. MCI has some longer routes (LGA, PHL, DCA, etc). Other than that, nothing significantly different than any other base.

Thanks for the info! Is it mainly 4 day trips?

How varied are the trips from ORD? 1 day, 2 day, 3 day, all 4 day? I'd guess shorter trips go senior, but I don't know for sure. I really like the feel of Republic, but am still trying to make my final choice between skywest/republic and I'd like and I ilve in ord.

I saw a later post you made that said you'll probably go to Republic. If you ever want to work for AA, make sure you let Envoy know you won't be coming to class as soon as you possibly can. I've heard that pilots who don't show up or don't give long enough notice are being blacklisted for interviews at AA. Congrats and good luck.

Ok I appreciate the information. Didn't know it was that serious just choosing a different regional.

Well it is if you commit to a class and no show. It shows your integrity or lack of integrity.
