Literally just a few pages back. At least a year, most likely longer.

Not sure if this means the planes are going elsewhere or United has decided to finance them for Republic maybe?

It is nothing but ual buying ,at better rates than republic could get, as part of bankruptcy plan. No change other than that.

United will now own the planes, rather than Republic, so until United announces who will operate the aircraft, there's certainly no guarantee we'll operate all 24.

This is definitely not the outlook that was protrayed in Friday's email.

The docket filed today on prime clerk states:

"United will purchase __ E175 aircraft and, if the United Motion is approved, lease certain of the E175 aircraft to Republic Airline Inc. (“Republic Airline”) to operate under Republic’s codeshare agreement with United."

The number of airframes is redacted and it is still subject to court approval. With that said, I'd say the positive outlook of Friday's email is warranted.

Unrelated, but how's the delta side flying going? I know DL is spending a lot vamping up endeavor in NYC. Is the LGA flying still pretty significant with shuttle (soon all YX)?

I believe so. Maybe someone can correct me if I'm wrong, but I haven't seen any recent news other than a few months ago when Delta put money on the table and we renewed our contract with them for post bankruptcy. I have been keeping an eye on this United deal as it could result in another "western" base and drop the upgrade to around 3.5 years.

That's what I thought too. Definitely a lot of delta painted birds still in LGA. Is that the current upgrade time? For some reason I had closer to 2.5 in my head.
