All in all feedback from RAH is pretty good lately.
Heard that AWAC just increased their bonus package. It should be interesting to see how others respond.

Hiring numbers aren't what they want them to be. We've had a net loss this year of around 20. Hopefully it's not "remedied" just by bigger signing bonuses.

Default Go to republic?

Hey guys I'm a new FO at [a competing all E-175 regional] and long story short my airline has become a dumpster fire over the past few months. I am considering joining a new company. I know absolutely nothing at all about Republic.

I'm asking for advice about reserve time, upgrade time, QOL, where do new hires go? Etc. I'd ask recruiting but like all regionals the recruiters lie through their teeth.

Is this a smart place to go to right now to get a line ASAP? Is the fleet forecast to shrink or grow? How'd the whole bankruptcy thing go over? How much are reserve guys flying?

My current company is almost 100 FO's overstaffed and has frozen hiring for the past 6 months. I have gotten nowhere. Im in the lowest 1% of the seniority list and not flying on reserve. Thanks.

You don't have to go very far back in this thread to find all the answers to your questions. We tend to keep the thread very current.

I've been at Republic for almost a year and a half and I've had nothing but a great experience here. I live in base and QOL is unbeatable (17 days off this month). Like the above commenter said though, where are you willing to live? You'll get a line within a month or two in LGA or EWR, but that's it. All other bases you'll sit reserve for anywhere from 4-12 months, with the higher reserve bases being IND, ORD, MIA, PIT, and MCI.

Our fleet is growing by 18 aircraft this year. 12 of those are brand new aircraft for UA and 6 of those are transfers from [a competing all E175 regional]. 😉

Depending on where you live/want to live, I think Republic is a really solid choice. But obviously I'm biased.

+1 to all this. Home based, 16 days off, and I get what I want in bids. Good crews, quick movement, decent flying...

Someone who flew one of the new 175s that were delivered said it was EOW. Makes me wonder what United has planned for them if anything. Or has that been the standard configuration in 175s delivered to united express carriers in recent months?

It's an internal thing to make them EOW. Interesting.
