Thank you KC for the response. Wow 2 month reserve sounds amazing. I don't care where i live all I want is flight hours but the SO wants to live in SEA (thus the choice I made 6 months ago). Wherever I do go I'm moving in base especially for reserve. Im not sure if I should stick it out or switch companies. If my current company loses 20 a month it's still 8+ months more reserve here..

My primary objective is to do whatever it takes to get off reserve as soon as possible. My current company will probably be able to offer me the SEA base I've always wanted, but at the cost of sitting reserve 10-12 more months from now. If I do go to Republic, and I'm actually filling out an app as we speak, it would be with the objective of getting off reserve and getting as many hours per month as possible. If I can't get less than 4 months reserve before grabbing a line at republic, then it's a horrible move for me to make, seeing as I'd rather be sitting reserve in SEA than LGA. Is it really possible to hold a line so quickly? Also what's the delivery schedule of the UA birds? Is there any chance Republic could lose any birds in the next 12 months?

Skywest or maybe even Horizon would be a better choice if you want to stay on the left coast.

" Our fleet is growing by 18 aircraft this year. 12 of those are brand new aircraft for UA and 6 of those are transfers from [a competing all E175 regional]. 😉"
Press release from says 18 new planes for you. I don't think that Embraer would count the transfers.

I prefer west coast but the only thing that matters to me is getting the most hours in the least time. I've heard the E170 side of OO is pretty awful for reserve time and I've heard bad things about horizon too. So my primary reason for going to Republic would be the idea of sitting reserve less than 3 months. Otherwise, it's almost better to sit at CPZ in misery until we bleed more fat. It's awful here, we need new hires to move things along, but have frozen hiring for 6 months, and now theyre talking about hiring in June, but people are mad because there's not enough flying for anyone as is. Roughly 40% of the company's FOs are on reserve.

Say/believe what you want, but it's 18 aircraft total. Like I said previously, it's 12 new and 6 used. If you want to prove me wrong with trusted sources, then go for it...

Technically It's actually 26 for the year as the 8 AA frames that have already returned to the fleet are on new leases after being parked/canceled last fall.
