Yes - - because we all know that someone with a few hours of training (in a real airplane or a video game) can not point the nose and crash in the general area of something the size of the WORLD'S LARGEST OFFICE BUILDING!

You should be a little bit more cognizant of the fact that a novice was able to fly a Boeing 757 into the side of the Pentagon from a height of 35,000 ft on his first try in an airplane he had NEVER flown before. I don't care how many video games he played or Cessna 172s he flew, it's unbelievable that he pulled it off with such precision and luck. Have you even looked at the flight path that this bozo flew in order to hit the Pentagon? I must say, it is fascinating and somewhat unbelievable.

I'd counter that with saying that you must be much more cognizant of all of the other evidence; but like you - I'm very convinced with my belief of what happened that day. You can be as sure of your own theory (or conspiracy) as you wish too.

As far as experience - - I've taken MANY people to the sims with NO flight experience at all and had them fly the sim under the Coronado Bridge in San Diego. Amazing what they could do when they didn't have to worry about flying the sim *correctly*. Just set the throttles and point. Easier than parallel parking!

Of course this is a TWA 800 thread. Are you a missile theorist too?
If so....I'd be intersted in hearing your thoughts of the questions I posed in post #74.

Granted. But, you were talking them through the maneuver, yes? Why almost every theory that doesn't tow the government line is labeled a conspiracy is somewhat baffling. Next time your in the sim, get yourself a low time Private pilot in the left seat and have him give it a try. You can even talk him through it and I think you will find yourself in a pickle. The precision needed is uncanny. Heck, try it yourself.

.......and, why only one video that purports to show a 757 striking the Pentagon? Why have we not been privy to see all the other recordings? Riddle me that.

Talk the person through what exactly what brianb? Being able to point the nose at something.
It is easy:
Me: "See that bridge going across the water? Fly under it and don't hit anything."
Them: "Cool!"

It isn't like I was asking them to fly Blue Angle precision at exactly 100'AGL and 480kts (and don't cheat by using those pesky autothrottles!)

Try it myself huh?
I'm sorry - but I have no doubt that I can point of the nose of my airplane at a fairly large point on the ground and I have a particulary good chance of hitting in the general area. Heck - I usually even manage to land it without crashing it within the landing zone!

Uhhhhhh............I'll take a wild swag and say - - because it is the definition of a conspiracy?
2. Conspiracy, plot, intrigue, cabal all refer to surreptitious or covert schemes to accomplish some end, most often an evil one. A conspiracy usually involves a group entering into a secret agreement to achieve some illicit or harmful objective.

Because of a conspiracy? [or the aliens don't want us to see that they transported all of the people onboard their spacecraft just before the impending collison?]

Back to TWA 800 brianb.
Are you a believer in the missile conspiracy there too?

Will they show a missile that's equipped with hundreds of pieces of luggage and airliner wheels? Large turbofan parts? Or that the missile made an entry hole with the wingspan of the jet?

Oh dear god, I was able to hit the runway just fine in a large multi engine jet with something like 100hrs.

What recordings? Ones that probably take one frame every 6 seconds or something? How fast does an airliner go through the screen at 300+kts? Odds are against it even showing up at all and at the best a blur. You probably also think that an airliner would leave a cartoon-cutout-hole like in looney-tunes too? This isn't wiley coyote and the road runner. The wings come off rather easily and "fold" in behind the fuselage, which enters a hole that happens to be just about the exact size of a 757 fuselage. Almost no large pieces are left with that kind of energy, except turbine wheels and a few big solid parts like landing gear, in other words the kind of parts that were recovered. It just blows my mind that people think an airliner would cut out a "cartoon" shape at that kind of speed and then you'd find the intact airliner embedded 200 feet in there or something. Think of airliners like an egg, nice structure that is relatively strong as long as it doesn't actually hit something solid and when it does, that solid thing is going to win, easily.
