As usual, guesstimate-theories are so entertaining to those with (choose one or all) paranoid minds, unable to understand a situation, or have watched too many silly arse Hollywood movies.

Some seem to think it is much more enlightening and amusing to let the old mind wander around and see what it can dream up than look at facts and try to use some boring old logic and reason.

I would argue that even the world's most powerful conventional cruise missile with a warhead designed to penetrate would have enough mass/momentum at the point of impact to go through more than two of the concrete walls of the Pentagon, let alone make it do the inner ring. Even if it did, you wouldn't see the gap narrow to a point like it was hit by a very large projectile...

What amazes me, is you conspiracy theory aficionados out there don't realize that the real conspiracy here is to get you to watch some lame documentary on a third-tier, ****-ant cable channel. It's a marketing ploy and that is all. No fact, no historical method, just conjecture and supposition. The producers of this type of crap are scum. It is nothing more than exploitation of tragedy to make money.

No, I'm not sold on the missile theory regarding TWA 800 just like I'm not sold hook line and sinker on 9/11. I don't begrudge anyone who thinks 19 guys where able to pull that tragic event off, but, I find it amusing that a lot of people resort to their "holier than thou" attitudes to anyone who dares question the government line. I suppose you think that the organization known as Pilots for 911 truth are all idiots? If so, why? Why is Washington always right when it comes to highly polarizing events and their interpretation of such events? The sheep population is alive and well in this country.

Not sold on the missile theory - but think it has credence though then?
If so - I'd like to hear your explanations of the questions I posed in the previous post.

I have no idea. I know nothing of the group.
Why are you stuck on the 9-11 when it is a TWA 800 thread?

You wanted to know why a *theory* not towing the gov't line was consider a conspiracy and I gave you the text book definition of a conspiracy. Yes - the sheep population is alive and well - as well as the tin-foiled mad hatters too!

But let's see if we can keep this thread on TWA 800.
Please review the questions posed in post #74.
I'd like to see what the missile conspiracy theorists have to say about it.

You gave me a government issued response to anyone who can be a critical thinker of the jugheads in power. Trust but verify. Yes. This is a TWA800 thread and I shall do some research on the various claims poised for and against the government position. I did fly with a Pilot who was a United 747 mechanic and when this event happened he was of the opinion that it was highly unlikely that a wire short would cause the fuel tank to explode.

No....I gave you a definition.
'Gov't issued response....'

I did not ask for some research on the various claims for or against the gov't position. I asked for YOUR ideas on the questions posed.

I wonder if there were any -747 mechanics, or anyone smart on the various systems, involved in the NTSB investigation

...and I slept at a Holiday Inn Express last night and had a drink with a ramp-rat. That must give me extra insight and abilities far beyond those that investigate these matters as a profession.

Might I tweak your saying of "Trust but verify" to "Think and trust knowledge and common sense."

and...I am proud to be considered one of the sheep that does not blindly fall for every conspiracy theory that comes along or makes one up to suit my biases against big government, etc.

Good on you. It's always nice to have an opposing opinion.

I honestly don't know enough about the event to give you an informed opinion. Is it possible? yes. After all, I slept at a Holiday Inn Express last night and it was illuminating. I honestly think that some folks don't want to hear any truth?, that may differ from their comfort zone. I will get back to you later after some investigation. I have to go warm up my flying saucer.
