Talked to a union guy and he said the list was not published but people saw who had volunteered. They were just trying to make sure the company followed the CBA in regards to publishing the open time.

Quote: That will be a long list, which no doubt will include most all the former -10 guys.
why always blame the ex -10 pilots - and I do not think the list is long if there even is one

I was told there is at least one former 10 guy on about his 9th day of vol time doing the Japan flying.

And the equipment he flew prior to his current equipment is relevant how?

This fleet rivalry BS is very 2011.

If the previously mentioned pilot, regardless of his previous fleet, is in fact volunteering then that is his contractual right to do so. The union cannot and will not tell someone that they cannot volunteer for open time regardless if there are furloughs or not. That is a personal decision all of us at Omni have to make for ourselves.

As far as the squabbling between former 10 and 76 guys, it happens. There are a lot of lingering anger between the two pilot groups, for whatever reason. I have heard it from both sides and it's childish. We are adults and are supposed to be professionals, even though some don't act like it.

Agree 100%. Well said.

Stuart - the union can tell pilots to fly there schedules and enjoy there days off.

Plain and simple. It's all about the "contract".

The POS Teamsters contract was railroaded in by one group for one purpose only, to the detriment of many. Now that they have what they wanted, ie to save their jobs regardless of the cost, several of this group now disregard the contract at every opportunity for their own benefit. Solidarity? Unity? That's the BS.

Troll? Perhaps. You got what you wanted. The rest of us have to live and work under this POS.

Still very 2013, and beyond.
