Quote: No. The first DEC class doesn't even start training for another week. So far there are only 7 that will begin training next week.
I second this. Dunkin is spreading lies on other forums. I have friends that say there are about 7 in the first class.

Because it's fun to stir the pot...

I doubt PSA will get many DECs, hopefully FOs jumping ship to them will realize they will be forever reserve. Every FO there will upgrade and keep you down. Hopefully we won't lose any FOs ignorant to this fact. The more pilots we keep. The better our odds of gaining planes.

yep, that's my theory. on a side note, I've heard from PSA buddies that if you work there or PDT that AA will not interview you earlier than you flow time? I have an xjt friend that wants to go to PSA as DEC and then apply at AA to get hired once he gets 1000PIC and try to jump ahead of all the FOs there.....

That's not true. I know of a handful of envoy guys who were hired off the street. I'm sure the same could be said about pdt and PSA.
And no, those CRJs won't be going to XJT. DP has said multiple times how he wants to bring the feed in house (to the wholly owned). They may stay at ENY a little longer, but that's about it. Even the envoy -145s being flow byXJT pilots are on a 2 year contract.

Your theory is dumb. PDT PSA and Envoy will be getting more AA flying, the CRJ700s you want will be staying at envoy for a while longer too so if you want to fly them apply at Envoy.

I'm not lying about anything, it has been stated spots are full between new FOs and DEC until November by someone else who got an email from HR. I never said how many were in each class, the amount of DECs will be dependent uopn how many open captains postions go unfilled.

Your buddy will not be able to get on at AA anyway so 1000 TPIC isn't going to help him. If he wants to go to AA then he should apply at PSA PDT or Envoy.

Yea fantastic theory. XJT is losing money constantly for SKW, seems logical that AA would send them more planes and flying instead of keeping it in house, where it will make them money. Theory sounds like it's coming from a 400 hour instructor just beginning to explore the airline world.
