Quote: Nice. I’m sure everyone digested your post impartially.
Not meant to be.
From your few posts here, you would be well served by ‘digesting’ some facts as well.

Quote: You don't actual think FAPA would be doing better do you? I know you don't. We probably would just now be filing for mediation, and we'd end up with an ex railroad CFO as our mediator. ALPA has done a lot for us.

And again, let's not start passing judgement before there is even anything to judge.
No more FAPA/ALPA battles. Long, long over and 100% irrelevant. Complaining about ALPA is also pointless right now. Work like you normally do, wait for the strike, wait for the TA and vote if you like it or not. Simple folks. Management loves to see internal strife among pilots, at the wrong time, cuz for them it’s divide and conquer.

I’ll wait for the TA and read the entire package before I vote yes or no. Until then I don’t care except support our NC.

How about everyone just chill out for a bit?

Very much agree with Salukipilot.

Quote: Let's not start talking NO votes until you attend a road show. This is ridiculous. We don't have a TA yet and we are already deciding we are voting no?

Lets wait and see the outcome of the negotiations first. There is so much we don't know yet.
I have an acceptable minimum in my mind for each particular area. Not sharing it here of course but I know what it is. Don’t need a roadshow to read a document. No amount of convincing or presentation about what is or is not going to be on the table will change what I feel like my worth is. When it’s all worked out and presented, I will read it (and probably go to the roadshow) but will determine for myself if it is either acceptable or unacceptable. And my post mentioned above that what I have read SO FAR is unacceptable.

If we all collectively decide to vote something in that is unacceptable to me, then obviously my NO vote was overridden. I will live with the results.

I would suggest every F9 pilot do the same - vote your personal acceptance level. Words from the NC are just that - words. The NC works for all of us - not the other way around. I trust they will do the best at their job until we get a contract or they get fired. This is simple in my mind.

And, I can say unequivocally, that there is a LONG way to go for a yes vote from me...

+1. For many of us, this is the last, or for me, the second to last contract before retirement. If a Union can’t hit a grand slam in these economic conditions, it cant be done, ever! Now go sic em boys!

I agree, I will read what is presented and make a decision based on all factors. But unless they hit it out of the park with what is remaining, I am unimpressed thus far. Based on reality I don't expect them to come up with that much with what remains and thus I expect I am another No.

So what is next? Are they meeting again or is a plan going to be presented to the pilot group shortly?

Most likely more mediation in a month.

It's my understanding that no more meetings are scheduled. The union is sending their recommendations to the board this week. It's up to the NMB now. Sh!t or get off the pot.
