Peak is here.... fly and find out...

Quote: This is just.....this is just embarrassing.

I remember guys like you when I was a young FO in the 90's. These long duty days are just embarrassing. Take your group and just leave 1224.

As I said before, it not just you trying to crawl to the top with making money. It is a collective issue that pushes ALL OF US FORWARD. Leave and see what you can get by being non-union. ALPA will laugh at you. I am done with this thread.
Dear White Cap (and others of his kind..)

Somewhere in the beginning of this thread, the actual point was made. Maybe you didn't see it. So, let me try again...

We are not about throwing rocks at anyone's efforts to move forward and negotiate. Nor, are we all over the duty day thing. It is in the hands of an arbitrator and will be what it will be.

But, the real issue here is that the leadership of 1224 worked as hard as they could to drive K4 to a strike. Every time that we got close, DW had an issue with something that stopped the show. The last straw the duty day thing. The majority of us do not see this as an issue. It doesn't come up that often and the rest facilities on the plane are good enough to get the job done when it does come up.

We are just ****ed because the folks that we pay dues to are not acting in our best interest. They are acting in their own best interest and are more than willing to throw an entire pilot group under the bus to meet their agenda. This is not what we pay dues for. And, it is not fair.

None of us at K4 wish any of the other 1224 members, or for that matter any other pilot group, anything less than the best deal they can get. We are just not willing to sacrifice ourselves to cater to a larger agenda that really isn't our fight. Cross a picket line? Never! But, opt out of a rigged game? Just maybe...

This is non-negotiable. Get out of 1224 and do whatever you feel like.
We are all in this together, and duty days above and beyond the rest is NON-NEGOTIABLE. The rest is just selfish. You guys are just justifying selfish behavior. Like you said, it is all about your salary. It is a kick in the teeth for those of us that sacrificed so much money to give you "pilots" a better life. This isn't about Atlas, this is about working families in the IBT ("their agenda"). Just embarrassing.

But you are correct. If my Teamster Brotherhood is not for Kallita, feel free to leave. I have worked my ass off for the IBT for a long time, have sat in countless meetings, I would be very happy for your ilk to lighten the dead weight that we have carried for the past three decades. Go ask those clowns at Skylease how they feel after they left the IBT . Or just go away.

Wow, If you truly are or have been an EXCO member you are not helping the cause. For any pilots (and rest assured it is not just K4 pilots) sitting on the fence about this issue your attitude is certainly making a case for leaving 1224 and the Teamsters. I am currently opposed to leaving but in favor of allowing the vote to go on so we can have a frank and open discussion. Your attitude towards dues paying members in good standing make me remember why I helped leave local 747 in another life years ago. Hubris and a condescending speech will not change anyone's mind. Reasoned and respectful dialog might.

There is no fence-sitting, so to speak. In or out. I remember the debacle at 747. Just Leave. No discussion, just leave 1224. I was with Bourne at the 769 union hall when they wanted to take Plantation boss Bassett's offer for a ridiculous and stupid contract at AJT. I shook my head at how stupid pilots can actually be. We deflected a decertification by only a couple of votes, and we got a huge pay and benefits package for those guys a year later. I am tired of fighting this battle with crybaby guys. Leave and never come back. Wonder if ALPA even acknowledges you guys.

The only cause that needs to be helped is getting ourselves and our neighbors a living wage in America. A rising tide floats all boats, not just pilots, but all of us working stiffs.

You do realize the double crew duty day was negotiable... and that in the end Bourne agreed to let it go to a single interest arbitration which was concluded in August and of which we are still awaiting the arbitrators decision. Oh and guess what ...now THAT decision will be NON Negotiable.... no appeal. We shall see what the man says.

Dear Mr. Cap...
Dear Mr. Cap,
We are very good at hiding behind the anonymity of social media. Makes it so easy to throw rocks and spew hateful crap.
Well, dude, today it is my turn. I am calling you out. You are a liar and a troll. Bent only on a mission of discontent. Stirring misinformation and hate.
I have been a Teamster for over 30 years. Spent time on the picket lines with career Teamsters like Ray Benning and Don Trichlor. I have proudly supported the Airline Division for longer than your career.
Your boy, Dave, is by your own definition, a traitor. He led another union's pilot group to defect. Is our cause any different? And Dan is just a management pilot turned labor rep (anybody but me see a conflict of interest here?).
If you can't see the point we are trying to make, so be it. But, enough with the insults. It serves no one. And makes you look like the blowhard buffoon that you are.
Grow up...
