Quote: Well obviously it would be harmful to any company to lose flying or get dropped from a carrier altogether... I’m sure we’d pick up flying from somebody else. I think Delta will drop G7 at some point as I’m try’s to streamline its ops. When I don’t see happening for a long while.
I interpreted your post that I quoted to mean owning 8-9 900’s was a safety net? And I I’m trying to figure out your confidence in the timeframe of the 700’s leaving? If Delta wants to consolidate down to 3 regionals it will probably do so as CPA’s expire. It is my understanding that the CPA with GoJet is up for renegotiation end of this year? I’m thinking Delta will not sign another 5 year CPA with GoJet. And I’m wondering if TSH would agree to a one to two year term? I could be wrong though.

How would owning the 900s be a safety net if we lost ALL delta flying? I was just simply trying to explain that not all the delta birds were owned by delta when one guy said we would be down 25 planes. And I’ve seen you in this g7 thread a bunch talking trash so you must be some sort of g7 expert. so you tell me, is our contract up for negotiation at the end of this year with Delta? You should know. We started flying for delta January 2012. So it must not currently be a 5 year contract like you seemed to be getting at and I Haven’t heard one word over here of it being up anytime soon.

I don’t think it’s just GoJet’s DAL flying that may be on the chopping block. The next month will probably tell.

Huh, how would I know about the terms of the current CPA better than you? You’re the one that works there. And yet you confidently say that you think the Delta flying will be around for a while without that knowledge? I’m just going with the word on the street, and I believe that the current CPA was renegotiated when the 900’s were added. Key word here is BELIEVE.

It is pretty funny how often these rumors float around. Do you really believe top level information like that will reliably work its way down to the line? Where was the reliable rumor on TSA losing American flying? What about ExpressJet doing the same?

These silly rumors do nothing more than cause unnecessary division between pilot groups.

I am not part of the American group so I don’t hear of those rumors, and quite frankly I don’t care. It doesn’t affect me. I have heard rumors regarding the ASA side of ExpressJet for a while before it was officially announced, as did I regarding Comair. Closer to home I kept hearing about Pinnacle acquiring Mesaba, and thought, what a bunch of horse $h!t. If it serves you better to look at it as purely a divisive means and nothing more, then have at it. But Delta has said publicly on more than on occasion that it plans to reduce their regional feed down to three. Now American has mentioned plans for a reduction as well. To me that sounds like it deserves more than a rumor tag. And prospective new pilots should do their homework

Yup. XJT losing the American flying has been an open secret for months. Same with DAL as you’ve pointed out.
I do think there will be another loss of flying for GoJet crews pretty soon as well. Another bid for CRJ flying that has been floating around for some time and will probably be awarded very soon.

Cite your source that they have stated they’re reducing to three or you’re full of ****. If they’ve said it publicly it should be easy.

The 900s are owned by Skywest as the beneficiary of a trust. They are held in the name of the Trustee, Wells Fargo. They are leased to Gojet. What that all means, who knows, we would have to know the terms of the lease.

9E CEO who is also a V.P. of DCI has been saying this for months now.
