Quote: How does the $10,000 bonus work for current employees? I have thought about applying and would like for that money to be paid out if I got hired. I would want to be hired as a DEC in STL.
The payment schedule is:
$2,000 After the new hire pilot completes IOE
$2,000 After the new hire pilot completes 6 months of employment from the date they complete IOE
$2,000 After the new hire pilot completes 12 months of employment from the date they complete IOE
$2,000 After the new hire pilot completes 18 months of employment from the date they complete IOE
$2,000 After the new hire pilot completes 24 months of employment from the date they complete IOE

Quote: How many crews are there in Chicago?

If someone just wanted to bid turns and be home every night, could he do that if he was in the middle of the seniority?

What % of the trips are 4 days, 3 days, 2 days, and 1 days?

They use the PBS system?
68 Captains
47 First Officers
We use PBS
Most trips are 3/4 day there are a few 2 day and 1 day trips.
#8, #9 (3 yr seniority FO) and a couple pilots in the 20's (2 yr seniority) bid for the bulk of the 1 day trips from the looks of it.

Quote: Tsh does not own many of its planes. That's where the conflict of interest is, why spend any more money in maintenance when you don't own them? They just do the bare minimum, I've flown with deffered things that maybe only airlines in Africa or India... are ok deferring.
As an active line pilot our maintenance has been equal to or better than what I experienced at my previous airline operations.
GoJet owns 32 aircraft.

Did you fly for Mesa, great lakes, or an operation in Africa or Russia etc as another poster suggested?

I used to fly for a wholly owned regional of a legacy airline here in the States. I'm not here to bash other airlines, especially airlines I was a part of.

Do you have any real information about the Spirit pathway? There is zero actual/factual info online?

I don't think anyone expects you to bash a former employer. Especially if you are trying to recruit professional pilots.

Instead of just giving an opinion, can you provide data to back up you claim?

Facts and figures are more valuable than feelings.

How about posting the total number of deferred items vs the fleet size? Or average number of deferred items per aircraft? Etc

Does D.H. Esq (aka fat bastard) still a minion for uncle hulas? Does he still hang pilot IDs, he fired, on his office wall like fight club? Are the original 22 scumbags that jumped over the backs of 800 pilots at TSA still there? Gawd I hope so. Is there at least 10 dmi stickers in the can? Asking for a friend.

The basics of it are as follows.

60 days prior to the completion of 24 months or 12 months as captain (24 months on property is still required, I am a direct entry captain with a little over one year of seniority but I am not eligible for Spirit until I have been here 24 months) you take the spirit talent assessment test. When you successfully pass the test you pick a class date with spirit no earlier than your 24 month anniversary.

Pilots who were on property when the agreement was signed will have to additionally interview at Spirit because we changed our interview process when we signed with Spirit.

Why wait until 24 months when someone could just apply off the street? NK is also hungry for pilots.

Spirit minimums: 2,000 Total Time in Fixed Wing Aircraft 1,000 Multi-engine Aircraft

If you need R-ATP for GoJet, you're already a majority of the way to Spirit mins.
