When something is announced it will have been put into motion about 18 months prior. From the article that I posted earlier, I would say the sharks are circling.

Or skytrails could come to Endeavor, get awarded captain while still in ground school, and upgrade immediately. Once upgraded, he'll never fly right seat and make a lot more money. Why go to Gojet for 40 of block and 100 credit with pick ups, when I know junior captains at Endeavor that are blocking 80-90 and crediting 140-150.

Thank you for the questions, I hope you find this useful!

We have a Hybrid System of reserve at GoJet, instead of sitting short call until you are senior enough to hold a long call reserve window we build a mixed schedule. I am a huge fan of this, at my first regional airline I sat over a year straight of short call reserve which I commuted to and had to have a crash pad. I would also sit up to 6 days of airport reserve each month. Well after a year on property I was finally able to hold Long Call which would be awarded for the entire month.

At GoJet the commuter hotels and creative bidding made it so I didn’t have to have a crash pad. Some captains may decide to get a place to stay if they are a commuter.

When your monthly bid award is published all reserve days will be set up as Long-Call reserve (12 hours). The Futures Desk at crew scheduling will then convert two of your call windows to short call reserve (2 hours).

An example of a reserve line from our recent ORD bid award is as follows:
March 4-8 Long Call Reserve
March 11-14 Long Call Reserve
March 17-21 Long Call Reserve
March 27-31 Long Call Reserve
The rest of the days are off days.

Two of these reserve periods will be converted from Long Call Reserve to Short Call Reserve. This pilot will spend two reserve periods with a 12 hour call out, and two reserve periods with a 2 hour call out window.

Another example I see in the bid package shows a pilot with 5 reserve periods, another with 10 reserve periods (Because they were quite creative with PBS) with both of these reserve lines only two periods will be converted to short call.

While utilizing PBS you can waive contractual protections on days off, you can set limits on how many days in a row you are on reserve, request days off and much more. If your seniority can hold what you request you should get it.

We have three separate short call reserve windows RP1, RP2, RP3.
To my recollection RP1 starts at 3am, RP2 starts at 8am, and RP3 starts at noon.

We only have one call window for long call reserve starting at 8am.
I believe all of our reserve windows are 12 hours long.
We have a contractual allowance for Airport Reserve, however I have never seen it utilized.

There is an art to bidding, our union has published a fantastic guide on how to best utilize the software. I highly recommend downloading it from the (password protected) Union website and studying it as soon as you finish training.

Reserve pilots are allowed to bid for open time on their days off.

For March our junior captain is based in DTW and was hired mid-January of this year and is the first awarded base holder out our recent group of new hire Direct Entry Captains. STL and ORD are junior as well. RDU Junior Captain was hired in April of 2017 and December DEN Captain was hired late 2016. I would expect DTW, ORD, and STL to continue to be Junior and be the likely awarded bases for DEC’s.

Why does GoJet have the nicknames: BlowJet or GoJunk?

A ramper used the name GoJunk. He said the planes are always broken and never go out on time; he never looked forward to working their flights.

Also would you care to explain how pilots who have given a proper 2 weeks notice have been fired?

Could you also explain the back story of how GoJet was formed?

Hmmm I never have an issue blocking out on time...... must be cranky pilots not getting their way, so they try and make the company look bad.

Who really cares how an airline was formed long ago? Nobody there currently has anything to do with that history.

Heard it from a ramper huh? Would that be the brother of the gate agent that heard it from a flight attendant about the merger and GoJet losing all their flying?

Oh and funny story...

Why is GoJet the ONLY US regional listed? Something smells fishy.
