Updated interview information?
Hello,

Does anyone have an update to the interview process? I have an interview next week and was just curious to see what the process was like. Thanks in advance.

Nobody’s tryin to get hired here at this point, they’re concerned about getting hired somewhere else from here. It’s a sad reality. So many of us were here to stay and now it’s nothing but negative memos every time we login to docunet or read the pilots FB page. The bad part is it’s not even contract negotiations time… that’s turns the workplace dark real quick for years. My 7 years here I’ve enjoyed for the most part but for the sake of sayin for the new comers, things go in waves here, but the dark cloud of negotiations is comin soon and if you think the recent shenanigans are crazy, pull up a lawn chair and grab some popcorn. It will without a doubt get crazy round here. Mgmt is ruthless, we’ve seen it, and I believe we’re a little bit more prepared this time. Good luck to us all

Regarding PIC 500 requirement
Hi guys,

Can anyone clarify the 500 PIC hrs required on the AirlinesApp for Frontier? Do you think it is just a typo or we really need it to apply?

? No, it’s not a typo. It’s only 500 hours of straight PIC though. Not turbine PIC. So, 500 hours of piston single engine PIC from your time building days will do. That DOES includes time as a CFI (I know airlineapps has a weird way of defining PIC that doesn’t include dual given time as PIC). So, under airline apps time breakdown rules: 100 PIC + 400 dual given will give you the 500 PIC requirement.

Thanks for explanation..So UPS asking PIC is different than Frontier asking PIC? But FAA defines only one PIC in the book, that was my confusion.. So most of ATP holder has 500 PIC easily..

I’ve heard a 25 question written that’s straight from the ATP written, a paper tiger scenario, and panel interview. I believe Sheppard Air has a study guide/gouge and I’ve been told it’s on point.

Thanks for the info. So, my understanding is that definition of PIC for UPS is different that PIC for Frontier? Even though there is only one PIC definition in FAA as far as I know. Most of the Atp holders should have enough to apply Frontier then?

Don’t know for sure how UPS treats PIC, but most airlines, including Frontier define PIC as time spent as the aircraft commander or “acting PIC”. The confusion comes because in the regs the FAA does have a broader allowance in terms of logging PIC than what airlines allow.
