XOJet is currently hiring. I found some useful information on https://www.airlinepilotcareers.com/xojet. Hope this helps.

Also, XO has 2 Indoc classes scheduled for September.

We are hiring but I hear it’s very picky. Internal recs will get you looked at.

PMed. I’m DFW based.

Any former Army rotor at XO in here? Currently a FO at a regional that is doing decently well in this current environment but looking to possibly make a switch down the line.

What is the schedule like? Is it hard to get the time off you want? Say if you had particular weeks you wanted off or beginning or end of month off? What are the trips like and how does sick time work?
I'm very curious. Thanks!

With respect, did you read anything on here about XOJET, or refer to the information page at https://www.airlinepilotcentral.com/...xojet_aviation before posting? The available schedules are clearly laid out.

If you need a flexible schedule with different days off each month, you can bid a Flex Schedule. It is similar to airline bidding and seniority determines if you get what you bid. If you prefer a fixed schedule, you can select from an 8/6 or 15/13. It is fairly easy to swap with someone if you need a particular week off.

If you are sick, you call in sick. You earn sick leave each year which will be used first before any vacation (if you are sick longer than your avail sick leave balance).

I highly encourage you to read the XOJET threads on APC and review the info page. Lots of answers and perspectives that would be perfect for you...

With Respect....Yes I did read that. The sick call policy wasn't laid out and normally wouldn't be. However, in this era of Covid, I would think that's important. Some companies have historically been real ball busters on things like that. As far as the schedules, great....You are on for 8/6 or 15/13. Where are you? How much are you flying, how much of it is on the ground? 8 on 6 off can mean something very different based on what company you are talking about and the kind of flying they are doing. So I was looking for the pilot side of it. Whats the job like? No need to be offended.
Enjoy your coffee sir.

Im on Flex and asked for Labor Day weekend off. I was awarded it off but pay for it down the road with two 9 day rotations with 4 days off in between. On the other hand I’m off 10 days in a row before that starts. Flex can be very good to you or can be rough. I had a 7 day rotation went on 3 days off and back in for 10 this month. You can set your days however you like and ask for certain time off. You can set max days as well. 8 days is the minimum and 15 is the max. I normally set 9 days max. I was asked to to 10 this month because of day I had asked to have off. I hope all that explains a little bit of what the schedule is like on flex.

As far as flying. We don’t sit too often. If we do it’s at the hotel. We don’t do airport rot. Most days are 2-3 legs. Looking back I’m averaging around 65 hours a month of flying right now. Most trips are TEB-LAX-VNY sorta thing as an example. Long transcon followed by a short repo flight. Sometimes you may get a day where the longest leg is only a 2 hour leg though. It all really varies. Lots of TEB-PBI sorta trips.

Anyway. Hope that helps out a bit. If you go read the actual XO jet thread on here there is a ton of info. This is just a new thread and it seems a lot of things are getting repeated.

I do the 15/13. Enjoy having my schedule set a year and a half out. Also work less throughout the year. Airline less too. Essentially go to work 12 times a year. When I take vacation it's 13 off, 7 on, 22 off. Do that twice a year and it ain't so bad.

Sit at an FBO? Never.

Per Diem? Never. (Fully reimbursed, so you actually eat good food).

Hotel Shuttles? Never. Always a Rental / (Lyft if you want.)

I go home happy and rested. My wife is happy. It's a good place with good people.
