Thankfully, it appears as though we are easing off the post-holiday peak of confirmed cases.

Unfortunately, we’ll likely see elevated deaths from the holiday spike for another week or two.

Quote: All it took was an insurrection by idiots trying to topple the US government and a 2nd impeachment of Trump to sideline the news that the US has almost 400,000 people dead from COVID, and over 4,000/day dying. Sounds like we’re turning the corner for sure!
I think with how heavily we’ve been force fed Covid news and numbers over the past year, many of us are simply done caring. The fear mongering news blew their load. America is ready for normalcy, IMO.

CNN even took down their COVID Cases & Death counter that was on the top right of their page for 10 months.

The fear mongering has been surreal. I ponder what next. Something WILL be next cause thats the business model. But will people swallow it, or will we have realized the nature of it?

The only reopening that will be allowed is when you get your vaccine and the government approves your freedom pass to do everyday things. I don’t think this is the reopening you guys think it will be. Look up Freedom pass in the UK or the Green Booklet in Israel.

Not sure if people travel for MLK day... but 56% of 2019 ain't too shabby. Also, 700k more passengers presumably same day in 2020 than 2019.

looking at the news from 1/15/19 it appears a storm hit the northeast depressing pax counts that day. % YoY to 2019 maybe noisy as a result.

No. Some governors are simply now prioritizing tax revenue over saving lives.

Oh.. How do you explain a Standford peer review study just happening to come out 2 days ago saying lock downs don't work? We got a vaccine quicker than the study. Lol. 1 week ago NY governor "finally" comes to the conclusion that they "have" to reopen? Bro, if you don't see politics involved in this, then your eyes are closed. I'm an independent for the last 20 years that is socially down the middle and fiscally right of the farthest right person you can dream of. This is as clear as the blue sky what's happening.
