Quote: my backup is to stay where I am, take the upgrade when I can get it and keep all my seniority. I will go for any additional pay available. Check airman, instructor, etc.

If a good engineering opportunity comes along (my previous life), I may take it, but it has to be a pretty amazing opportunity. I just like flying too much.
Frontiers window is open, Spirit is resuming in March, airlines are preparing for the rebound. There is more to aviation than just your regional, and NetJets. You have built NetJets to be such a savior in your head that there is no way it can live up to it. It’s already left you in disappointment, so let it go and go start throwing spaghetti at the wall to see what sticks.

Thats horrible advice. If I were in my early 20’s and I didn’t know what I wanted in life maybe throwing spaghetti at the wall to see what sticks might be ok, but I have known for years mainline is not what I wanted and fractional flying is where I wanted to be.

NetJets isn’t saving me from anything, but they are the best option for me. So, that’s what I was going for.

terrible advice.

Some good advice would be to lie low on the internet. Just from following the NJ thread, I remember that you once flew in commuter, had some conflicts, went into engineering, and now fly for OO. Add in whatever conversations you have on here and NetJets is able to figure out if you would be a good fit or not. Your showing a lot of yourself online and maybe that turns them off.

You will see PIC/PIC pairings about 85% of the time in the phenom. Not so much in the sovereign or challenger.

It's not horrible advice, it's just not what you want to hear. Go ahead and wait for NJAs call dude. Hell you might wait so long that you could be on your way to upgrade at a major had you made a move when the opportunity comes. Painting yourself into a corner where only 00 or NJA will work, is a recipe for failure. I hope NJA calls you, as that's what you want. But they may not. They could easily dump the pool or those invited to an interview and start all over, then what dude? This isn't even about comparing NJA to airlines and that endless ****ing match. This is about you doing what's best for the rest of your aviation career and opening your horizons a bit.

Doesn't sound like NJA is the best option, sounds like you made it you only option...

I here you bro! NJs is a great place. I really like your attitude. I left NJs after 14 years but I miss it. Only a few places I would have left it for. But, I would have been totally happy staying there.

FWIW looking at the age of NJ pilots, things may start to move before too long. In the next few years roughly 20% of the seniority list will be at or above 65 and in the next 10 years it will be close to half the list. Granted we don't have a retirement age, but nature gets to us all. Based on my unofficial observation, the pilots here already above 70 seem to be on the fly until you die or lose a medical track, whereas the the ones in their mid 40's-50's seem to be targeting a date or 401k number. If the company goes through with their planned aircraft additions it may speed things up on the hiring side. But like others said, keep your options open. Most NJ pilots never planned to be here or to be here for long.

Quote: I have no reason to believe you would try to deceive me. All the info I get from others on this forum is the exact opposite.

I haven’t seen here or anywhere else anyone believing we’ll get down to 4.7 pilots per frame, at least on a permanent basis.

I’d bet a hotel priced appetizer we don’t drop below 5 pilots per frame.

Do I get to pick the hotel said appetizer would come from?

So the company wanted 4.7, intending to never use it? Interesting negotiating technique...
