Sorry guys! Y'all always look so nice with simple shirt and slacks and tie. That looks just doesn't work on me.

Business casual is the standard when you are not in uniform. Skirts are fine for classroom events but I would recommend slacks in the sim.

Me too. I am waiting for my new driver license to coming in the mail so I can send them the whole package and wait for them to give me access to the company's website.

You guys will all get an email a few days before class starts telling you that you must be in business casual for all activities relating to the company. This includes travel to and from airports, while on airlines to your departure destination or training. Etc. You must also be clean shaven for all company related activities.

A good rule of thumb for any job is to never dress any lower than the standard uniform or dress code. Don't want to show up in jeans to a job where thats not even allowed on a normal basis!

How's training going for you? You were in February class right?

Roughly how many hours would a new FO fly per month?

How do the regionals look upon people coming from PS?

Would it make sense for a CFI/CFIII who's averaging about 100 hours a month to go to planesense and finish off building the time to 1500?

A new FO will fly 40-50 hrs per month.

As long as you have the required time to get an ATP, a regional airline will have no problems with you coming from PS. You may have an easier time in training since PS has a structured and standardized training program and operating procedures.

You will build time faster as a CFI.

The Regionals are demolishing the pilot ranks here at PSI. They have no issue with taking a PC12FO and training them on an RJ.

My opinion would be to stay away if you're close to 1500. PSI will lock you into an 18 month contract. Sure you can pay it off and leave like many have, but if you can avoid that mess I would. I have seen applications that ask, "Have you ever not fulfilled a training contract?"

On the opposite side of things, if you have 500 hrs and don't want to instruct anymore 18 months will put you around 1500hrs. So you can fulfill the contract and go to Endeavor like everyone else.

Finished ground school last Thursday! Off to the sims this coming Friday. We had a really good group of people, but we all seem to be pretty worried about Dallas. They make it seem pretty rough.

That's all pretty relative. Depending on where you instruct, time might come quickly or not at all. Do what makes you happier.

I've been very happy here so far but it's a little early for you (or me) to have a good gouge of what the real QOL is here, especially since summer is right around the corner.
