Anyone have any updates on training class dates for next year? I haven't interviewed yet but HR has reached out for my Application and info to be sent in.

Not yet, but get it back in and they will tell you most likely at the interview. That's the norm.

Hello everyone. I am starting FO groundschool soon and am new to this forum. I am hitting the usual V speeds, limitations and memory items listed in the PC 12 NG poh. Any advice out there on what else to know or prepare for prior to training? Any and all responses appreciated. Thanks. SM.

Go to quizlet. Search PC12NG, or PLanesense or whatever and there will be everything in there you need to know. Limits, icing speeds, Pusher ice, flap speeds, v speeds, and whatever else.

Yes, accurate
Quote: Accurate statement no doubt!
As a pilot who has been at planesense for a little over a year, this statement is indeed accurate. It is a great company, which afford you the opportunity for excellent flying experience! Perfect? No, no company is... But it is a good company

Apply as an FO
Quote: Thanks for this! I like what I hear. I'm sure I don't make the cut for direct entry, but I figured I'd give it a try--I mostly want (need) the 8/6 schedule (family reasons). I'm at 1300TT, 1100MEL, 1180PIC, 100nt, 95instrument.
I agree, I think applying as an fo would be a better route. Give yourself at least a few months to get comfortable with the plane, the operations, the company Etc as an FO. Then once you have 1500, and feel comfortable, start the upgrade process. I came in a year ago with 2700 hours out of a management position at a university Flight School. I started as an FO, and I'm super glad I did. Going to start the upgrade process soon.

Quote: Got an offer from planesense and cape air. Debating between the two. I like the schedule for Cape 4/4 better than planesense 8/6 but I am more concerned about commuting. I live in central Florida and moving is not an option. Obviously would be commuting out of orlando for cape but could potentially get MCO as a base for planesense. Also does it look better to have the turbine single time or the multi piston time?
Thanks in advance
United and Delta both require turbine time. It’s impossible to go from Cape to one of those two. It is possible to go from PS to those two, granted you’d have to figure out how to get an ATP. I’d say even single engine turbine is more valuable than multi piston in that case.

You could go to JetBlue from cape and then go to United/Delta. Unless you’re a very special pilot or heavily involved in management/training I can’t see someone with single engine turboprop time beating out the line of people with thousands of hours of 121 PIC.

That’s kind of my point.. imagine jetBlue gets a bit comfortable after this next expansion they’re about to do, and slows hiring way down. You’d have to go from Cape, to another regional, to a legacy. I’ve seen PS pilots go right to UA or WN. Granted I don’t know if they had previous 121 experience but my assumption is they haven’t. Although I’d have to ask around to be sure.

I may be wrong. Please let me know if you hear otherwise but I’m guessing they were either Mil, management, or previous 121.
