Quote: The gaping flaw in your calculation is that you're comparing apples to oranges. Turboprop rates to jet rates. You should be benchmarking your proposed 70+ seat rates to others across the industry. Are your labor and skill sets not equally valuable to those of everyone else?
The rates are industry average. The caps are not.

Even if your 12-year rates are industry average, your 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18 year rates with increasingly lag far behind industry average.

This is simply a case of AAG trying to further lower the standard and set a new, lower industry average. You PDT professional airline pilots deserve more than what AAG is offering you.

Quote: 227 a month for a family of 4.

Here I pay $220 a month for me and my wife on the PPO plan. That price will be going up every year. FOs won't break even at 35%...
There's nothing in that sentence that proves that F/Os won't break even. Here, I will actually give you a personal example:

I currently make $37/hr as a 6-7 year F/O. With the LOA I'd be capped at $40 on the jet 4th year F/o. That's $3hr more even though I'm capped at year 4 instead of moving to year 7-8! If you credit approx 1000 per year (and I credit much more than 1000) that's an extra $3000. That would about break even with my previous calculation of paying about $6000 per year for a family of 4+.

Quote: I thought my calculation was conservative at 1000 hours of block a year. And keep in mind this is for a family of 4+. For an individual, it would be a 3rd of that, and a couple about half.

My calculation is for worst case scenario, which we should all plan for in this profession.

$227/15%=$1513.33
$1513.33x35%=$529.67
$529.67-$227=$302.67
$302.67/75hr MMG=$4.04/hr

Is it less if you have a spouse and only one child?

Also, what about any other concessions? Sick and vacation? Caps on 401k matching funds? How much does the company save by taking your freedom to transition (that's a loss of QOL)? Etc?

Quote: In the meantime you should maybe think about getting LAID! If you can't get laid maybe rubbing one out will help. Remember it is the champagne of victory. And it will allow you to not be so wound up over Piedmont's vote.
Calm down please. If you don't like his post how about just ignore him.

Quote: The more you type I think the more PDT people want to vote yes for this TA.

Save all your typing for after the vote. It's passing and probably by as much as 75%. Then you can bash away! As of now you are just wasting your time. Go play with your family or go wrestle your dog till he gets excited. Do something......
Listen up Piedmont pilots. I finally got this figured out. BILLYHO is NOT a PDT pilot. Just a troll acting like one trying to brainwash you brothers and sisters at Piedmont. But most of you already knew that. Nice try billyho !

Quote: For the record I'm voting no, but you're math is way off. I'd be making $1300 more per month and if my healthcare doubled it would cost $90 more per month. It's a $1200 per month gain. And I only estimated an 85 hour credit month, which is less than what our lines are built to.
This guy gets it!

What's making you so sure that you will credit 1,000 or more in one year?

Always make your calculations based in the minimum guaranteed. Remember, once they introduce a new fleet, lines will be awful for the first 4 to 6 months. They might not have your precious 80 to 90hrs a month, instead 72 to 78hrs.

Your LOA is crap. Just as the envoy AIP was crap. Jus as the PSA deal IS crap. Just as the envoy "B Scale" was crap. No one can tell you guys how to for but yourselves. What is true is that PDT is the last whipsaw of the wholly owned regionals. A no vote from you guys could serve a spring board to completely restructure ALPA and abandon this failed PATTERN BARGAINING. A YES vote perpetuates the whipsaw, the regional model, maintains the status quo, and sets us up for a monster merger.

The choice is yours now.

FWI, He prefers the term "Labor Consultant" over "Union Buster".
