The CA E175 rate at my seniority is a little over a $15 per hour raise over the dash rate. $15x85 hours is 1275.

Edit: pdt lines mostly have a credit 88-89 hours and your average take home is low to mid 90's.

Haha I hear ya. But hey, when the contract is amendable, you can vote no then come back on here and tell everyone else to hold the line after your flying in your E175. Isn't that what all the other regionals do?

Oh and don't forget FO's will now get that valuable Glass/Jet time. Remember everyone bailed out of here to make 10k less a year as a FO to get that Jet/Glass time. Blahahahahahahahahah

Indeed. The healthcare cost doesn't scare me, and I'm lucky enough to live in a state with no income tax and low property tax. I'm really just looking for a little stability out of it for the next 5-10 years, if it comes to it. If there is a merger, and I get stuck as a captain at the 12 year cap, I won't hide in my room forever over making $90-95,000+ per year. I can always apply elsewhere if it isn't looking well here for the flow. I'll tell you something, if we don't approve this PDT will die off anyway, because people will be jumping ship like its the Titanic. Either way, we may never be able to staff it. It's a Catch 22, so we might as well go for it.

Okay so you are basing that on the assumption that 175s are coming to PDT and you will be a line holding captain. Thanks, appreciate the response.

I used that as an example, but the point is any of jet rates would be a pay raise despite the healthcare increase, which wouldn't even take full effect for 4 year after the first delivery. And yes I'm basing it on captain rates. The FO's and people with families will obviously have different results.

We can argue all day about numbers concerning who will be flying which fictional airplane 4 years after the first jet arrives. I was merely responding to a post about how the healthcare increase would be a net loss. The healthcare issue is about the least concerning issue of this LOA.
