Supposedly we'll be above WN's current 737 pay in 2015 with this turd... at 216.92 vs. their 216.22. 12 year 777 CA rate= fdx's in 2015.
And at that payrate WN pilots get zero in retirement contributions. Delta guys will have 15%. With WN's max contribution (9.3% matching, requiring a 10% pilot contribution) their hourly rate is $194.60, and a total cash compensation rate of $236.33. The Delta total rate will be $249.46.
Anybody see protections against geared turbofan aircraft?
Quote: You're right, it'll just be an unbiased presentation of facts whether they're positive or negative. And I'm confident they won't push a recommendation that members vote for it.
So then don't go to the road shows... don't read any propaganda.. just vote for it based on what you can discern by reading it yourself. Good luck, and I mean that with all sincerity. Or, you can just vote no like I am sure you are gonna do anyway regardless of what's really in the contract.
Quote: Go back and reread the TA section 1. You will find that you are incorrect.
What exactly does section one have to due with our lease obligations to Bombardier?
Quote: Where are you getting the 4:30 min pay per day? I see 5:15 just like our present contract. If they dropped it to 4:30 that could be a significant pay cut on some rotations.
Chapter 12, page 13. We still get 5:15 per duty period, so no rotation pay cuts.
Quote: Can you say "meet and confer?"

Company will hire 35% of new hires
in Delta pilot new-hire classes in each trailing twelve
month period (to the extent airmen are available) with ALPA-represented
airmen at Delta Connection Carriers, subject to such airmen meeting the
Company’s competitive hiring standards, and subject to the Company’s
objectives for diversity and experience among newly hired pilots. Airmen who
flow up pursuant to LOA #24 and LOA #25 count toward satisfaction of such
minimum percentage.
Ugh. This just keeps getting worse.

I believe that the seat class of aircraft in the scope is now irregardless to method of propulsion.
Quote: Ugh. This just keeps getting worse.
What's bad about that one? Already DCI makes up a major portion of each class. This guarantees some jobs for the resultant furloughs from the new scope section.
Quote: I love how they state that they traded a portion of profit sharing for "permanent pay increases..." and that is barely above government (not actual) COLA.

Absolutely insulting.

The sale job is going to be absolutely fantastic on this one...
How much have we been making in profit sharing over the past few years?

How much more profitable is Delta supposed to be in the upcoming years?

Typical pilots: Buy high and sell low.
