Atlas shows as an exhibitor at WIA. There are no fastpasses available for Atlas so I guess the WIA people don't believe there is a need.

I don't give a hoot what the COO said...and to think that "everyone being hired because they aren't capable of being hired at the majors" is insulting and shows what you know...just look at our attrition numbers. Just look at the talent we have among us. Just look at who shows up at the interviews.

I take great offense at the COO's statement, and your repeating it also shows the lack and depth of your understanding of our pilot population.

This is the stuff that keeps me away from these boards...I contributed a heck of a lot in the early stages of this thread but then about a year or so ago found myself "selling" Atlas and the lifestyle to the audience. I stopped doing that, and will not try convince anyone to come here unless I am sure that it is the lifestyle they want.

That is not what your post suggests...but fine if you wish to clarify your original statement.

Our COO's opinion means nothing to me...he's a union-busting management type that only knows how to make money for himself and the shareholders -- and he does it off our backs. Make no mistake about that...but this group of pilots and the culture has changed and will not put up with the tactics they tried in the past.

Welcome to Atlas, and I wish you much success here (but I will also be the first one to shove you out the door if you are under forty and if you show the least bit of interest in a legacy airline career!!).

I did phone interview in December, resume was forwarded to next step and phone has been silent ever since.

As to the post about the type of applicants Atlas attracts:
Atlas has the perfect life style for me, I have no interest in jumpseating to a junior base on the other side of the country and be home 1 day out of 3 days off as what I would encounter at a major, beside the fact that I would upgrade the day before I retire.
As for applying to the majors: I don't know 3 people at Delta and will not touch the toxic mess that has come from USAir / America West / American mergers. Leaves United but hear things are not happy there either.

Been doing the long-time-away-from-home / long-time-home type of ACMI flying for 15 years, suits me and my family fine.

First off, I want to thank all of you for posting on this forum. It is a great insight and valuable tool for us bottom feeders coming out of the military haha. I must have read every page of this thread and PPRs tech pages countless times. I applied a few months ago and as per the recommendation from the Atlas page, updated my PAQ and resume a few weeks ago. Any indications on recent time lines from submission to email? I have any excellent job at the moment instructing and flying ISR in the desert, but it's just a job and not a career. Apparently it feels like the only way in at the moment is a face to face, as mentioned above. True or not? I was an Army DHC-7 IP/MTP, 7000 TT, ATP etc etc. What are my chances of even catching an eye and getting the email? Again, thanks for the insight gents and I will keep reading and flying my circles until the call.

I did the phone interview on Nov 16, and face to face Nov 19. A phone call might be in order; I have heard they sometimes misplace people. Best of luck!
