Quote: Which airlines offer ID90 CONFIRMED seats to Atlas crew?
Just Lufthansa, as far as I know. The union got us that just last week. Not sure if they are working others.

When you give HR your foreign address they set you up for a XXX gateway, which means gateway eligible. You tell them where in the States you are or need to get to, and that is where you get a ticket to or from your base.

As of December, the company is no longer buying the “less expensive” option for alternate travel to an international destination. You can always travel ask and hope they say yes.

Thanks for the response! Why did they stop alt travel to an international destination?

Because it was a handshake agreement under COVID and with the pending takeover by Apollo everyone is counting pennies now.
Strictly speaking it’s not in the CbA.

To whom it may concern:

Quote:
Omission lying can be defined as the deliberate withholding of pertinent facts or information regarding a person, event, life history or scenario which leads the person receiving this incomplete information to perceive and act differently than they would if they had been given the full relevant information. In other words, a person deceiving someone else not by what is said, but by what is not said, what is left out, of the information they give about something.

Nothing will get better during a takeover from a company that is known for cutting the fat and selling once everything is trimmed to the minimum expense possible. Everything will get worse until it hits the CBA required limits and then possibly worse from there where the company will force the Union to fight them in court. Don’t forget…management is a bunch of lawyers.

Etihad...

Both the LH and Etihad confirmed seats, are only to be used for crews going to work, or coming from work.

Go to google and input Apollo buyout of Sun Country, and see for yourself what happened to sun country after Apollo bought them.
They did sell part of them, after taking them private. After some time, they went public again. Apollo owns at least 45% of the stock of the now-public Sun Country Airlines.

Quote: I agree. I mean, I don't actively look to do a landing, but I always check the other crews expirations to see who is first. If I am first or second I will try to get the landing. If not, I will let someone else have it. I doubt I will have an issue with upgrade since I have already done 5 years as a 767 captain at another airline.
I almost always want to fly. I look at the dates, and offer them in order of whomever expires first, depending on other situations (such as upcoming training, etc.). I pretty much only fly when I need to (will expire before the other pilots, lowgrossweight/aftcg takeoff, prm approach, etc.), or if no one else wants to fly/is there turn to fly. I don't fly very much, because I don't feel I need to, at my experience level. I defer to giving the less experienced pilots the leg. I would like to fly a LOT more than I do. And, I really don't like doing PM on the short legs (under two hours)...WAY too much to do in a short time period.

Quote: Just flew with an FO, who sat home (in South Asia) for 3 months. He went noncurrent on his Takeoffs/Landings. The company knew he was noncurrent, and sitting at home. He talked to our 747 training scheduler a number of times, during the 3 months. She told him, that there was no sim availablity. After about 3 months at home, they finally scheduled his training, flew him into MIA, and go him back on line. He made min pay (64 hrs), during his time at home.
Just flew with a different FO who also expired. He wasn't sure if the company knew about it, or forgot him. He sat at home for three months, on min pay. He finally got bored, called the company, and immediately got a sim to do his training and get back online.

Quote: Yes but if it says it’s been 70 days since they landed it’s a starting point to figure who’s leg it should be. If they say they made landing a couple days ago ok, who wants a landing?
Some pilots can barely get in one landing per month.

I just did a 9 day trip: Was scheduled for six operating legs. Ended up doing three legs (almost two).
Next pattern is four legs.
Pattern after is six legs...that takes me to the beginning of April...won't know that schedule until later in March.
So, if it goes as planned, 13 legs for Jan-Mar.
