Quote: Does it make things difficult for new FO? I ask because if majority of the pilots in the class are CqFO, the pace will be set to their standards, no?

Also, why so little FO in class? Not many applying or not many getting hired?

Thank you
It shouldn't make it difficult. If anything easier as you are in class with guys who have been through a training program before. They know what it takes to pass. How hard you need to study.

We are concentrating on CQFOs right now so that is why we are mostly seeing them in class, but we still are getting plenty of FO candidates. A lot of our FOs we are hiring are just short of hours, so they will be in class shortly when they get the hours.
The mid January class has 17 people, 4 FO's the rest are CQFO's.
I know it's been asked, but for the sake of time, when do the health benefits kick in for a new hire?

30 days after your first full month at TSA. So if you start some time in Feb, you won't get insurance until April 1st. Its pretty ridiculous.

Sorry, but to clarify that means if you start Feb 2nd, your insurance starts on May 1st because your first full month will start in April.

Why would the first full month not be March?
Now Im confused. My first full month would be March, but I see you said that its 30 days After the first full month. So is that 30 days after April 1st (since March is my first full month) which is how you got the May 1st date? Basically thats going 3 months uncovered...
You're correct. Sorry, for the confusion. April 1st is when insurance would start. My brain isn't firing on all cylinders today apparently.
