Quote: I see the EAS recruiter is answering here...

Any hiring for the FTW or DAL base? What are the minimum times required to upgrade to captain?
We are hiring for the Fort Worth, TX (FTW) base right now for PIC's in the King Air 350i & the Phenom 100.

8/6 is so close! 7/7 Is a world of difference.

Just curious. Is the 350i the newest version that includes the ProLine Fusion cockpit?

Hi I’m just wondering if they are hiring SIC’s in FTW or SAT. Thanks.

At this point in time, we are not hiring SIC's out of Fort Worth, TX (FTW) as we are pushing to fill San Antonio, TX (SAT). There is quite a bit of movement at FTW though, as pilots upgrade or move-on to another organization, so there will most likely be an SIC opening soon. Thanks!

Quote: Now the new thing is requiring crews to be standby at FBO for a full 14 hours if not scheduled for a trip that day. No more standby at home days or at least very few and far between. This is a huge hit on our QOL and I don't think management realizes how big of a mistake this move is. So for those going to interviews don't let them sell you on this idea of "oh you'll work 7/10 and get standby at home days," this is no longer the case.
So explain this a little more please. If you're not scheduled to fly, you're expected to sit at the airport for 14 hours?
So if youre on the 10/5 every day you're not flying youre sitting in an FBOa for 14 hours?
This doesn't make a lot of sense. You have to live in base, if you're on your 10 day (or 8) rotation why not just have an hour call out.
What time do these 14 hour sits start?

Good question, as I'm sure you're not the only one looking for a little clarification. We strategically use Standby FBO to be able to rapidly address customer needs due to rare pop-ups, and maintenance events. For a 10/5 pilot to be assigned Standby FBO, they must have had at least one Standby Home day in their current rotation. Pilots on the 8/6 schedule do not have that requirement. Remember, though, Standby FBO is only in base. That means that the night before Standby Home or FBO was spent in the pilot's own bed. Standby FBO days are rarely more than 10 hours and usually around 8. To my knowledge, EAS has never had a pilot sit Standby FBO for 14 hours. Standby FBO days usually start in the morning between 6-8am. If you think about it, our 8/6 schedule is simply the best in the industry. At worst it is 8 out, 6 off. However, you very well may see 2-3 nights in your own bed, and a Standby Home day during the 8. Hopefully this information was helpful!

Upgrades
Anyone know what the upgrade times are for EAS? I am assuming that the Lear, 300, and CJ upgrade times are more than the 350 or 100.

Is this job commute-able in any fashion? Is it a company requirement to relocate to one of the bases?
