Be sure to teach the TLR.
MGT,

Make sure you teach the TLR in depth.

Quote: I think Potatochip will never drop it. He left CommutAir and yet it seem like it's still taking a toll on him, as much as he probably think it's not. Subconsciously it is. Let it go and be TRUELY happy hot potato. You're eating poison while hoping CommutAir would die.

PS. Welcome Montcalm.

I'm not an instructor but I can pass it along when I see one.

Quote: For everyone going through training soon, I recommend bidding for Phoenix. The sim slots are in the middle of the night, 1130p-330a, but that’s the only bad thing. You’re in a Residence Inn Marriott (studio apartment) in a decent area. The rail line is a short walk if you want to get to downtown on your nights off. If you go to St Louis you are in a dated Holiday Inn in a bad area of town with only a couple of walkable food options. I heard CVG is in between Phoenix and STL for hotel quality and nearby food.
Good to know, thanks for the tip!

Quote: We lost the option of IAH to Republic.
The last thing we need right now is another base. This is a good thing.

I'm starting training in April, what do you mean by "bid Phoenix"...do you have a choice in where you go for training? I thought it was at IAD and St. Louis FlightSafety for sim...?

As you read the AOM you will notice that one chapter might give you certain guidance and the preceding chapter can give you a different guidance. You will also notice that many sections in the AOM refer to procedures that apply to the Dash and not the 145. Good luck deciphering what is the Dash AOM material and what is 145 AOM material.

I was wondering about the torque references. But seriously, can you point some of those out to me? It's my own copy and I'm not afraid to edit the **** out of it while I wait for training.
