Default Don't rule out XJT

Cozy,

I spoke to friends that say the training is amazing ! AQP initial.
The company has been flying the ERJ-145 for about 20 years.
It will give you a great foundation of training, if you are new to 121 Jet flying.

EWR base should be possible.

EWR is pretty much a sure thing for a new hire at XJT.

Wow

Good luck upgrading at XJT. Go read the "most jr captain" forum on XJT

Hint hint: 8 years to upgrade and that's just one of the issue, wait till those senior CRJ guys come over.

MGMT, what is the upgrade time at CommutAir?
( Considering all of the high seniority Dash pilots that came over to jet.)

- with current fleet size
- with desired fleet size

18 to 24 months, and expect it to drop with continued delivered of jets. And dash transition is almost over (if they are not out on the line doing IOE already). Last transition class was Jan 28th.

P.S. even the pilots at XJT espect their upgrade time to get worst, and I am honestly not making it up. Just check out their forum, you'll see.

And keep in mind we are a small regional, so when you are saying "high seniority Dash pilots" you are talking about 30-40% of 293 pilots. Lol so its not any crazy number. And our ideal number for 61 jets is over 700 pilots. So anyone coming in now will gain seniority quickly since we just have 293 pilots.

The guys/gals at XJT is telling folks to take XJT off their list and you are tell guys on our forum to go to XJT.

Example (if you think I am lying):

Don't fall for these lies. Commutair has been a failure. They are no longer receiving the extra planes this management wannabe is claiming. Pilots who have gone to Commutair are leaving due to the lies they were told about growth. I know many that left XJT chasing the upgrade at Commutair that got burned and have since moved to better regionals.

I don't have access to those numbers (if my boss even has numbers written out in that format). But it's gonna depend on our ability to staff them, which is looking possible with our class size increasing. We are small so we are use to seeing 3 to 4 people in class. Last classes were 15 and 19 and we are looking to see 21 in the next class. So staffing is going up.

We paused on upgrades because the dash guys were transitioning but upgrade has started again and we have already announced 2 classes for upgrade (march and april).

We are actually picking up flying from another carrier in EWR tmrw, monday and tuesday. So things are looking better.
