Yes, if AMR gets their way, we may be a inexpensive as Jet Blue pilots. AA could be the newest LCC to come into the industry leaving only two passenger lagacies, UAL and DAL. With AA, U and all the other LCC's, it's going to tough to find a decent paying airline job in 5 years, I predict.

Considering the growth plans of all us LCC's combined, I think we'll be the majority of the market then, just like RJ's are the majority of the domestic market today. I'm wondering how Kelly over at SWA is looking at his pilot's contract tonight ?

Sad indeed.

Did I read that correct? Scope to 88 seats? Not good.

This was proposed by management? Could see some of this coming but other items are a kick in the nuts. Two sick calls a year? Where is the faa on that one?

Guys,

Keep in mind this is the companies opener - we all new it would be ugly. Now AMR and APA will negotiate and hopefully come up with something a little more acceptable to the Pilots.

My guess is that if AMR is not willing to improve on this proposal the APA will not accept it. And my own personal opinion, if my choices were the above or a judge ordered contract, I would go with the judge for numerous reasons.

Added all up, if this stands as is, AA would become a bad regional with big RJ's (but pilots still flock to those jobs now with smaller RJ's). It will be up to the APA leadership over the next 30-days to negotiate whatever is brought to the pilots.

Is that the timeline? I honestly have no F-in clue what is next and when things need to be determined or else it goes to the judge. I do hope (and optomistically believe) that APA will work a solution better than this turd.

Yes........that quick. AMR supposedly wants to build a premier airline and that's impossible with sweatshop labor situation like this. Sure, there will be plenty of pilots willing to come to AA, but it will simply be a great turn-style to get jet time or large jet-time and move on. No loyalty, no effort and thus no product........certainly not one that can compete with DAL's or UAL's.

As I said before, I give AA's future 50/50.
