Ok to put the thread back on track.

The capt I flew with...

pushed off the gate, get taxi instructions to the runway.

Delta behind us calls for taxi, ground tells him to follow the ERJ to the runway.

We're in a CRJ and we hadn't started taxiing yet, the capt gets on the radio to correct ground, "Ground we're a Canadair Regional Jet not an Embraer Regional Jet"

Ground apologizes, tells Delta to follow the CRJ to the runway.

Delta "It's still a regional jet"

We still haven't moved yet

He answers Delta "This C-R-J is the fastest regional jet in the sky. We fly Mach .83 what can you do?" (Delta was a 737)

I can't believe this crap is going on and want to yell "OMFG just **** and *********g taxi the d****d plane" Instead I tell him we're holding up progress - we gotta move.

Delta "We make more than you each minute you're sitting here yapping your flaps"

He slow taxis riding and burning up the brakes all the way to the runway. I couldnt help myself and jumped on the radio to apologize to ground and Delta for my captain's behavior.

To the penalty box for ground stop
To a hard stand for overnight park or maintenance
To the blast fence for an engine run

(crap, I sound like a spell check cop)

Is this for real? No one can be that stupid.

I'm gonna throw the BS Card on this one. If it were true the FO would have also added that his Skipper bored him a new one and ratted him out to the CP and DO and his ALPA Rep.

If it was a 9E CRJ9 CA I used to fly with (when he was on the SAAB)...I can totally see this as actually happening.

The event happened around 4 years ago in ABQ, it just came to mind when I saw the thread.

Same trip he almost put us into the side of the mountain at GUC, because he wanted to make the PA, "We're coming around the mountain..." doing the left traffic to 24. While he's focusing on making the PA, I tell him his downwind is too tight and we need to widen out the downwind pattern to the right, but he turns base and final anyway. He's making the PA below 2,500RA while handflying the base to final turn. The turn to final is wide and we're about to smack into the side of the mountain right of centerline north of US 50. I tell him to "Escape" to order the GPWS Escape maneuver just as GPWS "Terrain, Terrain, Pull Up Pull Up" goes off. He tries to salvage the approach by steepening the bank below 800 RA triggering Bank Angle. I tell him that if he doesn't go around we're going to interface with the ground and leave a red white and blue Eagle smear on the side of the mountain for Gunnison to remember us by before he TOGAs and goes around.

If you ever flew with RoboCop at MQ, this is the way he is... He'll be a MQ lifer, might take flowthru to AA maybe.
