But are you killing yourself picking up every little thing in open time you can? I think of it as a marathon, not a sprint. Sure, get your time and move on as soon as you can, but in the meantime live life at least a little to avoid burnout.
Dulles lines used to be that awesome, not so much anymore. If someone is young and single, why not pick up extra flying? If they have a family and are commuting, then they probably need to reevaluate their life if they are picking up extra. Sounds like torture to rush to get their hours and then sit a long reserve as a captain.

Or maybe Dulles lines really are that awesome.
I pick up probably 5-7 hours a month more for the money than time. But yeah i still normally get 13 days off and 85 or better.
It's the reward you get for having to live on the east coast
I agree with you though, it's definitely a marathon and it's not worth burning yourself out on our pathetic FO pay. I'm waiting until I upgrade before I start really churning it out, because TPIC and most importantly $$$.
I think has been answered in this thread like 500 pages ago and I know it's in our contract somewhere, but do anyone know off the top of their head what our exact commuter clause is?
