It seems different everywhere I go. I've looked but can't find any definitive publications specific to crew members. Anyone know anything official I could whip out and show to them, or do crew members have no official guidelines? I've emailed the TSA, and while I expect an unhelpful cookie cutter response that's still pending.

Scanning a few old threads, I've found that you can throw November 1, 2007 Amendment to section 4.3.1.b.1 of the AOSSP at them, but I have no idea if it's been revised since or what it actually says.

You will never win with the TSA, it's one thing after another with those guys. Their policies are contradicting and TSA agents don't have the ability to think for themselves, resulting in a cluster ******* at many airport when anything slightly abnormal takes place.

If you go into accessibility under general. Select increase contrast and then select reduce transparency.

This gets rid of some of the ios Glass effects. Pretty processor intensive so this will get rid of the choppyness.

So, their response was predictably unhelpful:

Thank you for your e-mail to the Transportation Security Administration’s (TSA) Contact Center regarding TSA Pre✓™.

Specifically, you were interested in the use of TSA Pre✓™ screening lanes by flight crewmembers. TSA Pre✓™ expedited screening lanes are available at more than 100 airports nationwide. Flight crewmembers in uniform who present valid identification may use these lanes when seeking access to the sterile area for official purposes. However, use of TSA Pre✓™ lanes by uniformed flight crewmembers is not guaranteed at every airport TSA Pre✓™ is available, as the Federal Security Director at each airport has the discretion to reserve these lanes for passengers.

We hope this information is helpful.

Just like not every "non-precheck" airport makes you take shoes off or remove laptops. It's easier to just ask politely.

If you are in indoc or systems at that time, I cant imagine the instructors wanting to come in and teach on a holiday. If you are in sim, thats probably a different story.

I like that they couldn't attach the vacation Excel file to the email regarding it. So you've got to log in five times to go to Pilot Lounge where, look at that, .xlsx doesn't work with a lot of Macs.

And I'm itching to see the upcoming base awards.
