Thank you to both of you. It is nice to know there are people who care about raising the bar and understand the economics of this industry. I have only mentioned a fraction of the picture. It is a tough issue to explain because one thing leads to the other.
As for all the others...I believe in order to fix it, we all need to stand together, which obviously there are way more pilots willing look after them self rather then as a whole. We won't improve anything this way. I can see the new hires in the last couple years think this way. It is cancer for this industry. It's just sad. It is entirely in your right to disagree with me. I welcome that. I am not going to spend hours of my time on this website on my time off to debate this. Frankly, I have better things to do. I welcome a good discussion in the cockpit though. For the record, I am in my mid 30's also, so I am not an old crusty captain but rather someone who has seen things for awhile and based my views on my experience. Your welcome to do the same.
Flaps, no pun intended, but lets act a bit more professional. When I read your responses I really feel like I am reading a grade school students response. You don't need to put down other people to get your points across.
Fly Safe.

It could also be what happened with you earlier - new guys getting lines to get consolidated. There are a few other small variables, like who had trips extending into June and who didn't, thereby making them eligible for certain other trips in June or not.

A buddy of mine is also on reserve in DFW said we were junior assigned to reserve and would make 200%. But I don't know how he figured that out or even if it's true because it does not make sense.
Edit: at least to me anyway ha.

Went through IAH today and talked to another pilot who said Mesa had six 175's sitting on the ramp...that Mesa can't staff them. Any truth to this?
