Don't know ... day we were in they interviewed 8; sent a very cool F18 demo pilot home and the F15 bubbas did not make it past the first day. The two of us who were hired were surprised, since we figured the other candidates were so good. Delta hired 2 of 8 which seemed to be about average among those I talked to. Can't believe that many are "blowing it."

I think prep with the CBT really helps. Once I got the idea of the gouge here and other places I made myself flash cards with post it notes and hung them on a computer monitor to practice the general skills required and flex the memory muscle. Having association tricks to help memorize random things really helped.

Before you ask ... nope I don't have the gouge.

Got to figure competition is going to be tough at the start of the wave.

9/10 were hired the day I interviewed. I went first, so everyone else must have looked freaking incredible after I set the bar so low.

I know a lot of fighter guys that "blow it." JK.

Nothing trumps preparation and attitude. I came in so wired with flash cards, etc, that I felt totally prepared. Some guys think their resume will carry the day. That's blowing it.

Damn, i was about to pm you! Haha! I dont have anything to hide, pretty boring really (never even had a traffic ticket)

I just hope that they don't frown upon the hours flown annually. Most Corp guys don't fly much. I am averaging about 180 a year. But sit on my as@ away from home alot more than that


Now, if someone can pm me a name so I can start putting my bribe package together that would be awesome!

I had the attitude...maybe. I reviewed the old 2001 gouge, but other than that, the only prep I did was think of "all purpose" stories that exhibited professionalism and decision making in command.

I lived in the Fort Wayne Best Western all of last September (foursquare mayor status, for sure)... my backup plan to 2000 TPIC hours and a master's degree.
