I Got a rsv hybrid for next month. What's the likely hood they actually use you on rsv during those days. I know there are PLENTY of circumstances on being used vs. not. But if you're breaking guaranteealready are you per say on the "back of the list" for getting called vs those with less credit?

Please refrain from telling me how worthless I am from not reading the FSM about this.
Really gonna depend. The classic, if you're on reserve Monday thru Thursday....the odds are slim

Felt, they'll still work you above 75, and not bypass you, if that's what you're asking.
You also can't move the RSV days, or get LC, if I remember correctly.
At least in FLL, these hybrid lines make good credit. They usually have 70-75 hours already, then get paid for trips on RSV days. There's one guy who is always over 100 credit with his hybrid line.

How long do you have to be employed to get profit sharing?

Your question really doesn't have a reference to the FSM...

But there's no real good answer either. It's a total crap shoot and depends on which base, which plane, weekends on/off, is there an IROP coming, AM/PM?

just... for the love of god, be available when you get called so they don't have to fire another pilot for being stupid.

Also since you're a hybrid line you get 4:12 or better per RSV day that they use you. It might make sense to bid for any RSV trip you can and build up your monthly credit.

LargeMarge didn't disappear, just waiting for the dust to settle. First of all, I posted from my individual experience and preservative, not claiming to 'know it all.' I stand by my comments on scheduling. I did some fact checking and since my first flight on OE, only 18% of my flights have been on time. Just my experience, not indicative of the operation as a whole. My worst delays have been exculsive of IROPs, however. As far as my 'belligerence' comment, it was just my impression of the tone of our MEC. I have always been a member in good standing with ALPA and I also give to the BPF. So flame away I guess. Just not drinking the blue juice yet, nor am I opposed to drinking it in the future. Take it as you will.

Hey PortlySusan, welcome to the Blue!
As another RSV, regarding on time, we don't necessarily get called out for the on time or great weather stuff; usually when us lowly reserves get called its for a flight segment where something has gone wrong (weather, pilot timing out, sick, I'm not telling you anything you don't know). So I can see why things could seem to be consistently late from a clean up batters perspective.
What regional were you at before?

Only been here about 3 years, definitely room for improvement, but I'm happy and here for the long run (I think :-) ).

Quote: So a few quick observations for those considering JB, I've been here about 6 months. Previous I was an 11yr RJ CA.

1. JB is not an on time airline, nor do they claim to be. Almost all of your flights will be late. Some by a little, some by a lot.

2. Scheduling will push you harder than your regional, but will relent if you put up a fight.

3. Everyone really is happy that you at JB and will go out of their way to make that point.

4. Relations between the company and the pilot group are a bit frayed at the moment and IMO the tone of our MEC is very belligerent.

5. Given the trend of the industry, pay is low, especially training pay.

6. I'm happy here and have no apps in elsewhere.

7. I enjoyed my time at the lodge.
