Quote: I saw the numbers they turned down for Group II aircraft which includes the 80. 12 year CA was around $225 and I think third or fourth year FO was $130ish. I think it's safe to say that most guys are now wanting to shoot for those.
Given the numbers that are being bandied about at amr and current like airlines, I trust our mec’s proposal was more than fair. New coo listen up; you better take our deal..
Is virtual domicile something you're hoping to eliminate when you get to your negotiations? I take it new hires are probably getting the virtual domicile...correct? Thanks

Judging from the amount of time that has been wasted by the company from surface bargaining, the NC's original proposal is probably too low. It might have been okay a year ago, but times have changed.

Im not sure if they're trying to get rid of it or not. Due to the nature of our business model, there is a place for it (although I'd just as soon see it go away and staff the bases accordingly). However flexibility isn't gonna be free anymore. If they want to keep the virtual base then there needs to be solid rules in place with big blocks of days off and other incentives to make it worthwhile to someone to bid it.

The whole eñćhilādã!
Do you seriously think Allegiant is going to pay $225? That's some good crack you're smokin'.

No but most everyone I've talked to expects CA pay to top out just north of $200.

Crack? Your age is showing. That’s ghetto bump of yesteryear; ‘Ice’ is what you’re looking for. We’ll see..
Well, I guess you have to shoot for the moon sometimes just to get over the fence. Good luck with that. I wouldn't do the family budget using those numbers just yet, though.
MG doesn't care about the 200+/hr he just doesn't want to have to hire more than a skeleton crew of pilots. He's made it very clear he's hell bent against "soft pay" since its hard to predict the costs for future balance sheets. Unfortunately soft pay and more days off are EXACTLY what we need.

The union put chart awhile ago showing that for every 1 aircraft G4 only has 5 pilots, in comparison F9 has 1 aircraft for 9 pilots, the mainline carriers are between 11-14 pilots per aircraft. $200/hr is a drop in the bucket when you only have to hire half the pilots.

Plus what's money if your never home? Your wife or husband will just divorce you take it anyways... we need more days off and work rules badddddd.
