Quote: I’m not trolling at all. This is from the Frontier pilot application listed under responsibilities, “Assists with and ensures proper handling of aircraft, passenger, baggage, and cargo at terminal points where other company personnel are not available.” I was seriously wondering.
Well the answer to your question remains no. Pilots have not received training in any other job function other than flying the airplane. One could argue it’s a safety issue and a liability to the company. To my knowledge it has never been asked of any pilot to perform duties other than flying the airplane. Occasionally you will see a pilot assisting with wheelchairs or strollers but that’s pretty common at all carriers and voluntary.

On a side note, I would love to see the chaos that would ensue if they did ask us to throw bags in between turns.

Quote: After they lose your resume, the silver bullet and application, they’ll find it and give you a call... you’ll be out flying or doing something with your family and miss the call... you’ll call back 4 or 5 times with no response... it’ll dawn on you that a normal airline, if they called you in the first place are indeed interested in your services, calls applicants back... they’ll send you an email that the hiring window is open and they’d like you to submit a resume... by the time they call you back, you’ll be a captain at Delta laughing at the ridiculous voicemail with your fo while you compare profit sharing checks
^^^^^^^^^^This sounds damn near identical to my story...then, I receive 5 (five) identical emails in a 12 hour period that the F9 app process has moved to Airline Apps.
Silver Bullet- dodged!

Pilotlyfe and Emersonbiguns. Why are you even considering us? Please do yourself and us a favor and don’t even think about coming here. The time and effort you are wasting, you will never get it back. You are not helping the current pilots on the list here, or yourselves, trust me. Frontierpilotfacts.com. And yes, way back when I got hired, 90+% of pilots would help the flight attendants straighten up the cabin at outstations. A few captains would even throw bags. That was back when we were Frontier Airlines, The Spirit of the West. Everyone from the CEO down took care of each other! Now we are Frontier, ultra low class, treating everybody like complete Sh$! No matter who you are, unless you are in uncle Barry’s, or the devil incarnate, Franke’s inner circle.

Don't forget .... a few summers ago all employees were asked (or forced) to help on the ramp. And yes there were some pilots that actually did it.

Forced? Um, no.

Ummm...yes. I know you are all knowing, but reach out to folks at the GO and ask them.

I sure don’t know everyone from the GO that showed up and threw bags, but I know 2 that did it for the OT. Also know 2 that said no thanks.

All knowing? Thank you!

Employees at the GO temporarily worked ramp while we transitioned to a new ground handing team. Barry, Meehan and a few other big names were among them. I never once saw a pilot doing so and if they did it was completely voluntary.

Don’t you think that this statement of yours is way overblown? Yes, some employees were asked at the GO. Now “All employees,”. Absolutely not! Get your facts straight before you spew out BS for effect!

I guess the news covering this was overblown too?

My point to the person asking was that employees were "asked' to work the ramp and assist in the transition to the new vendor due to usual poor execution. And big bonuses were still happening. And y'all want to dismiss this as normal in a switching vendors? Really? And later that year was the Dec meltdown. I guess that was overblown too.

Please Bolo..tell me you're not starting to sip the koolaid??
