And if you are hired at F9, you'll get LAS whether you want it or not.

Nobody in our pilot group, outside of the negotiating committee and elected union officers, knows the answer you’re looking for; but most will say “industry standard” for work rules, pay, and benefits.

That’s relative... spirit got pbs... how much is it worth it to Frontier to not get pbs... I’ll stay at our current rates for 12 weeks of vacation, 25%dc, company paid insurance, 10 sick days a month etc... they can give us $300 an hour and it could still suck... I flew maybe 700ish hours last year and credited almost 1100... it’s all in the language and how easy it is to earn soft credit... pay rates are important but having a lower hourly rate with air tight work rules is more important... getting rid of phrases like “at the company’s discretion” and “whenever possible” is more important than a $30 or $50 an hour raise... pay rates can vanish quickly... it’s harder to rewrite work rules and internal processes during bankruptcy

PBS will never get voted in this round. The company tried to ride Spirit management's coat tails on throwing it in last minute. Our pilot group simply won't accept our current management group and weak PBS language.

And I would add that a 10 year A321 FO at Hawaiian makes what a topped out F9 Captain makes on the same airplane.
From what I’ve heard the union doesn’t weigh in much on first year pay. It’s up to the company to decide how bad they need to recruit.

After they lose your resume, the silver bullet and application, they’ll find it and give you a call... you’ll be out flying or doing something with your family and miss the call... you’ll call back 4 or 5 times with no response... it’ll dawn on you that a normal airline, if they called you in the first place are indeed interested in your services, calls applicants back... they’ll send you an email that the hiring window is open and they’d like you to submit a resume... by the time they call you back, you’ll be a captain at Delta laughing at the ridiculous voicemail with your fo while you compare profit sharing checks
