Again, I know how hard you work. I also have first hand experience in the quality of pilots the fractional world has (former CitationAir pilot for many years). I truly hope you guys get what you want. That said, like I've said before, that may be a bit unrealistic.
Please, I know some will say I'm worthless (response to last post), but I'm trying to be realistic.
Yet again, I hope you guys get everything you want and more. You deserve it, but I'm just trying to be realistic.
Your opinion is duly noted!

Training backlog
I know several guys who work at NetJets and have talked to several crews that have been through the FBO I'm based at. They all indicate there is a backlog in training. The question is whether this is purposeful on the part of NetJets/FSI/B-H or just poor planning? I know you can't spool up training overnight, but I would think it has been long enough that through-put should have increased by now if the company really wanted it to.

This is just another blunder by this EMT. They spend all of their time looking back at metrics that they can't see the iceberg staring them in the face. We had 5 years of furlough to move people around and get the training pipeline ready to go to max output and this EMT missed the signs of the industry improving. As a result the company waited at least year too long to start the recall and now one year later they have themselves a training log jam.

I was recalled in early Dec and am still sitting at home waiting for IOE. I know someone who was recalled in Nov and just started IOE last week. The pay checks are still coming so I no problems here.

That's the best. When Alaska got rid of the MD-80s, they had guys sitting at home for 4-5 months over Thanksgiving/Christmas no less. What a goat rope!

I know 200k for a small plane SIC is not happening at NetJets this decade, but the way they are trying to fit 20lbs of $h!- in a 10lb bag on the road now makes this sort of pay justifiable. My best guess from talking to many others here is that the average line pilot is flying around 20% more in the same amount of days
over the last year than the year before. That requires way more than 20% more effort. It is honestly unsustainable even for 200k for an SIC. What I believe we could actually get with enough pilots motivating the company to do this is around 50% base pay increase along with better work rules that force the company into using us at a more sustainable level. Another week of vacation after 15 years, better schedules, and improved retirement are all reasonable and obtainable on top of that. The company can easily afford it and still have hundreds of millions of dollars in profit every year. When you look at all the money coming in (even based on what they are reporting and not including what they are "accounting" away) it is just mind blowing what a money machine this place is. That said, we will only get what we earn. If the troops don't provide leverage, we will end up with a t@rd of a contract and those that stick around will deserve what they get. I am doing all I can to legally provide leverage for the negotiating committee and I would honestly prefer to stay providing we get good improvements overall. If not, I'll be disappointed and bail to start over somewhere else.

Quote: Guys I know I just got hired. Of course you guys know more than I do on the ins and outs. But there seems to be a common focus from a certain group of pilots at NJA that paint the worst case scenario picture for everyone around them. Whether it be in the FBO or online. Saying that people aren't moving airplanes at all, period, would be false based on whom I have talked to doing initials . To say that nobody is upgrading is false based on a bid being issued. Does that mean everyone is swapping fleets and upgrading? Hell no! Of course it does nothing for the 9 year FO who is still waiting, it's 2 spots in a sea of willing and able FOs ready to upgrade. But can't anyone see ANY positivity in the way things are going? NetJets has recalled, they are hiring... These are good things people. I get that there is a lot of frustration but why take everything as glass half empty around here?

I am starting to get the feeling that pay isn't going to fix everyone's gripes with the company, so why stick around? Money won't fix upgrades or fleet swapping... It will only make things worse in those aspects.

I can only say that I hope new hires placed into aircraft that you guys wan't, aren't treated differently for it. We are all here to fight the fight with you, not against you. My post wasn't to cause crap, and I don't know more than you guys who have been around I promise you I understand that. I just go by who I have talked to, and the emails I have seen. To say any absolutes is false and incorrect in my opinion.

Hey buddy, sorry to keep picking on you, but did you see the recent award for the EZ?

Both already DA2000 captains in the top 100 of the seniority list. Hang on, it's gonna be a long upgrade. Wait till you see how senior the FO bids go on the Global and G-Whiz.

Just curious if the Gulfstreams are G-whiz, does net jets have names for the other types or is there just some inherent disdain for the gulfstream product?

I wasn't towards the Gulfstream product, a long time ago when NJI was started it was implied that a Citation Ultra pilot couldn't fly a GIV. Hence the name G-whiz. Name is still around but we are all the same family with a really messed up seniority list now. Other name: Hawkersaurus.

I'll add "Phlegm" and "Barbie Jet" to your list.
